Make aleaschange 3 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) and change the Privacy Settings for this page from "Anyone" to "Members."

There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

Where is he stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to if you would like them.

Yes he does get in that neck of the woods on his ship but that is its assignment. Look up USS Bainbridge and you will understand.

Yes, well there'll be prayers for a lot of people traveling a lot of different ways to meet up with that ship. :-)  They have been working hard and as I'm sure your son is ready to come back state side, mine is too.  Just continuing prayers for their safety on the trip home.  This feels like countdown to PIR weekend. :-)  That was fun too.

About the fabric, I sent you a private message with my address. Thanks.

Sorry, I don't recognize your N4M name. I didn't notice that excel added up in the numbers when I placed a new name. It's a typo of sorts. The address should be CVN68 and 96620-2820 for Malcolm. Sorry to confuse you.

Yes, the link I had was just for USS Nimitz.  I googled it, so that might be one way to find them.  The pictures I found were on flickr.com so there's another place to look I don't know for fact, but assume that they'd have a "search" for the site.  Sorry I didn't have the exact answer.  Good luck on your search, if worst comes you can always have your sailor get copy from the media folks who took the pictures.

I had not heard they were so sick.  Phone calls sounded a little hoarse, but only one complaint a few weeks ago.

He is going to be a Machinist Mate. He did very well on his asvab test but failed his vision test. When he went to choose a job there wasnt much to choose from, so he delayed it by a day or two. The next time he went wasnt much better so he picked MM. I think he would like to try something else but he will make the best of whatever he does.

We are staying at the Ramada. I am looking forward to meeting a few of the N4M at the meet and greets. My son got "beat" for taking the blame for one of his buddies, but I dont know about any group beatings. I am sure the boys will have lots of boot camp memories!

Have a nice weekend! No mail on Monday...

Counting the days!

I am planning to attend the meet and greets. We are staying at the Ramada.Where are you staying?

Every letter that we receive is filled with so much enthusiasm. It makes me feel so good about this decision to join. I hope his career is everything he wants it to be. The only bad thing is some sort of an infection in his knee, which he is treating with antibiotics. I don't know why he would get an infection.

What is your sons job?

Just figured out how to look at comments left for me!!  Ok, to change the way your name comes up when you comment, go to My Page (at the Top), click that, go to "Manage My Page"in the upper left, click that, and then you'll see "address" - add the Ship and DIV # after your user name, and click "save".. It wont let you use anything other than unmbers or lettter, and no spaces, at least I couldn't figure that out.

It is a nice feeling to know that somewhere in the United States another mother has a son leaving for BC on the same day. How are you doing? We drop my son off 12/7 @10am.
