Sorry if this is being sent multiple times but for some reason it doesn't appear this is going through ---
Yes Anna! Definitely after May 2nd - that would be great! Plus I don't want you rushing in that big rig of yours! : )
Oleander,
So would after May 2nd be better for you?? Otherwise hubby and I have to rush from OK to NV to get there mid April. How about everyone else - - - - -
I'm up for Vegas too! We have B's wedding in July (7/19/20) but other than that I should be open to most dates ;-D
Sounds good Anna! the only conflict for me is the end of April - May 2nd. Otherwise..... Bring.It.On!
JayDee,
I will certainly let you and Oleander know just as soon as I can pin down a date. The weather is the biggest issue - making sure that we can drive from Florida to Oklahoma and then on to Vegas without encountering winter!!!!!
I'm in. BUT I need a heads up as early as possible as to the date so that I can get a decent priced ticket! Anna, as soon as you nail down your date, let us know. SW has spring tickets on sale now....
Way to go potterycat, stay busy!!! That's a great way to get through the boot camp blues! Believe it or not in a few months you'll look back on this and think Wow that went by in a blink!
YES YES YES Anna! I'd LOVE to have a big get together here! C'mon ladies - let's make a plan!
You all are very reassuring and I appreciate your kind words of experience.
I love the decorations. I typically go all out decorating but this year has been so busy and no the month is already 1/2 over. Maybe next year. I am throwing a costume dance party for our local mountain bike state championship so that should fulfil the need for halloween. :)
Oleander,
Those decorations are wicked!!! Would love to see your neighborhood during Halloween (and Christmas for that matter!) Hubby and I are still planning our visit to your neck of the woods next spring!! We are spending November in South Carolina with the oldest son and his family, then we go to Pensacola to spend Dec and Jan with officer daughter. Making sure we are far south for the winter. As soon as it gets nice in Oklahoma we are going there to visit with Catherine before the tornado season starts. Then we head to Fallon to visit with the Chief and his family!! But on our way to Fallon we'll be coming your way. I will give you some better dates when we get to OK!!! Hoping we will get to have that big get together - JayDee? Spyder? B's Nuke Mom?
Potterycat,
Oh I remember those days and that pit in your stomach you get when you just don't hear from them. When my daughter was in boot camp they could only write on Sundays and a couple weekends she just had too much going on to get a letter written. My mind went to all kinds of dark places until I finally heard from her and she explained why she hadn't written!!!!! I was sweating bullets!!!! Hang in there Momma, you will hear from her!!! Just not as often as we want!!!!!
Whoa JayDee, crazy dream! So the moral of the story is, when in doubt go to the bathroom?! hahaha. Love the purple butterflies. As you know, for us it's hummingbirds : ) And you're coming for Halloween next year!!!???!!! I'm so excited!!!
Hi Blondie, good to hear from you. I swear you must be living 3 lives at once! Congratulations to your sailor and his promotion! Sending prayers he receives all of his items safely and on time!
My sailor has re-enlisted. She'll be on shore duty and has chosen recruiting. Next July or August my oldest daughter, sailor and I are planning a road trip to FL where she'll go to school. Though she doesn't have hard orders yet she knows she'll be in the NJ/NY area which is what she requested. Though she's never lived in winter (eeeks) she and her sister are very excited because they'll be living within an hour of each other! And bonus, we travel there several times during the year for my husband's work so we'll be able to visit both at the same time! Quite honestly I think we'll see our sailor more in the east than we have while she's been in San Diego.
Here are a few pics from our weekend of ship building. We start with 30+ wood pallets and have been known as the Pirate ship house for years, but this year we're morphing into Game of Thrones - hence the White Walker skeletons (yes their eyes light up blue)
