Hello! Got the call that my daughter made it to bootcamp quarantine last night 09/08/2020.  Looking for other moms out there on the same timeline. Sadie is my baby, only daughter, and only child in the military.  I think I am going to need lots of support!

Stephanie0725 My daughter just finished up quarantine (I think) so I am a couple weeks ahead of you. My Samantha is also my baby and my only girl. This is a great site with lots of support so you've come to the right place!

Thank you so much for reaching out! I feel like this site has been a godsend!  It has been so great to connect with other moms today and know that I am not crazy for feeling this way!  What a tidal wave of emotions.  I'm good for a few hours then just get overwhelmed by a flood of tears.  Please tell me it gets better.

HeyStephanie0725, just checking in to see how you are doing. Have you heard anything from your daughter yet?

Stephanie0725,

Hello!!!  I'm a little behind in catching up on N4Ms so I just saw your discussion here!!!  I sent you a welcome message to your profile page.  Feel free to jump in and introduce yourself on the Moms of Daughters 2 group page. We have several moms on there who are ready to welcome you and offer you support.  We've all been there and we've all had those moments when everything is fine until we hear a song, see a beautiful picture, whatever it is and we find ourselves overwhelmed with sadness that our little girl is not with us.  The loss of communication can be the hardest of all.  I can tell you it does get better but it will never be like it used to be.  I had both daughters enlist at different times, plus I have a son serving, and you would think it gets easy!!!  It doesn't, I miss all my kids but they are grown and doing that adult thing!!!!  Let me know when you hear from her!!!
