Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hi ladies, I was just on YouTube looking up videos to see how things are at MA school from a sailor’s point of view. This sweet girl has an informative video on her experience. You can skip through the intro. :) it says Navy reservist but it pertains to them whether they’re a reservist or enlisted that I’ve noticed so far.

My Sr called too! I see that he called around the same time as yours :) he said mom will you call W (his fiancé) - but unfortunately she was at work. Then said call the boys! So we called his friends and they were excited and shocked to talk him :) He’s happy in his new division and a couple of friends from his last division are with him and has made some new friends. Last week they did marlinspike and this week they’re dealing with guns which he’s excited about because he’s experienced. On Sunday their RDC showed them some new songs that had “dropped” I LOVE THIS BOY!! He said he really wish he was home for the holidays. He said he’s going to miss Halloween and all of the festivities and parties that we have at the house. It was a great talk! I told him that there’s some MAs that are in his division and I’ve talk to their moms. He said oh wow I’ll have to ask around.

Our SR just called. I haven't gotten on here and asked any questions yet, because he doesn't graduate boot camp until 10/29. But based on what the recruiter said, we thought he'd be at MA A school until probably the end of January. He said he just found out MA school is now only 7 weeks long. Can anyone enlighten me? How long is it usually? And is it shortened due to Covid? That's what he thought.

C’smom2020 - I’m sorry I am just now seeing this. I believe my son’s PIR. will be Oct 22. In his letter from ROM he did say that he got to talk to other guys so I’m super thankful for that!

VintageGal: My SR's PIR is 10-29, so they could be in the same TG. It's TG 51. So the ROM once they get to GL is more solitary than the initial ROM? That's so hard on them!

Kim - right? They’ve got to make it tolerable, I swear! They need to keep up their morale in someway. Whether it be a counselor or a chaplain coming around. (Sigh)

VintageGal - Oh I hope so too. They shouldn't have to be alone because it would probably make them stir crazy. I haven't heard how they handle it at GL?
