Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Hello Ladies,
Wow, I haven't posted anything for awhile, been crazy busy with some family things. Nice to get all caught up with everyone!!! My sailors have been doing well. Officer daughter just got accepted for a psychology program she has been wanting to get into and we are so excited for that. There was an article done on her through the Women In Aviation chapter which I will share in a separate post. Our sailor son is in Japan on a 6 to 7 month deployment. He put in for Warrant Officer but was not selected this time. He was waiting word at the same time his sister was waiting to hear on her application and he told her this was her year and he'd wait until next year!!!! How sweet!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and the same for their sailors.

Oleander is right, time will go faster than you would think. We have strong girls and they surprise us with how grown up they are. Sometimes all we have to do is step back and let them fly.
My daughter finished all her schooling and was flown out to meet her carrier mid deployment. She sent me a picture of herself strapped in the plane, getting ready to fly out to the carrier at 3 am. It made my mommas heart stop for a second. Then I realized that she was living her dream and I just had to support her
Hang in there. We are here to sound off on anytime. NMH

Congratulations to your and your girl Cali's mama! Yes, this is an emotionally confusing journey - one day so proud, next day missing her so much!
I'm sure 2 years seems like a very long time but it will go by faster than you think. In the meantime she's going to need your support and love as she enters this new chapter in her life. She'll have amazing experiences and see a part of the world she might not have otherwise. What's your daughter's rate?
Come back often and keep us up to date! In the meantime, sending you a big navy mom hug!

My daughter just grad 2/25/2021 ship 7 div 136..now in A school in the great lakes...soon to b off to japan!!! I'm both excited and horrified lol..looking for support,!! 2 years in another country is so long as she will only b 20 in just a few days as well...confusing tears

The Superm72 breathe! My daughter (also a Nuke) says it can happen so one should always be vigilant. But with that being said she hasn't had any issues. The people in her shop will help her watch out. She will berth with other female Nukes. Do you know what ship she will be on? PM me. We can chat. Just don't panic.

Hi ladies! Hope you're all having a great new year so far! I came on here today for some encouragement. My sailor daughter has been in for almost a year and a half. She'll finish up training in July/August and then be deployed on a carrier. I was on a FB group today, and read some very disturbing information about how women are treated and I'm freaking out. One mom recounted how sexual assault is common and if they speak up, they're treated even worse. Please, please, please tell me this is less common than was made out to be? I need to know my girl is safe (I know things happen, but it shouldn't be common). Please help me balance this with good. I'm fully freaked out and praying my heart out. But the stories are floating in my head. Thank you so much for being here and letting me share.
