For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

This is just a basic replacement thread for the Bush. It is now deployed. Maryellen and some other HAE crew got to hand deliver the bulk of the pillowcases to the sailors before they left for deployment!!

I am thinking that she has a stencil that she colors in it. I know I have asked her, and am pretty sure that's it.

One of the sailors on the Bush mentioned his daughter. I asked him if he'd like me to make her a special pillowcase and he was very excited about that idea. When I asked him if they shared any hobbies or interests, he immediately said "Bugs. She's always dragging me outside to show me new bugs".
So, this is the pillowcase I made for her. It's going in the mail today. Her mom (whom I've since started corresponding with) said that her daughter is sleeping with one of her dad's shirts every night and that having this pillowcase will mean the world to her.

Dear Terry, and Carey Alliance Youth GroupMy name is Jxxxxx, I am currently a Chief Petty Officer with the squadron VFA-15 out of Oceana Virginia currently deployed overseas on board the USS George H.W. Bush. I wanted to take a moment out of my day and let you know that I received two pillow cases that you made for our squadron personnel. I just washed them the other evening and plan on using one of the two (by no means in favor of the other) soon. I wanted to personally say “THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT”, and sending us something so personal and thoughtful. I am attaching two photos, one of my daughter Corrie, who I currently have SpongeBob square pants pillow case for, and when I do my laundry will gladly replace with one of yours, and a picture of me and my girlfriend Kelly. With all that we do out here, it’s hard to sit down sometimes and just say “Thank you”. So with that, from my daughter Corrie, myself and Kelly, we very much appreciate your efforts in making our lives better out here. Thank you for taking time out of your day for such a thoughtful gift, and I will use mine proudly and often.
