Is everyone from 004 staying at the hotel with the meet and greet? Im booked there but dont remember the name so i will refer to it as the meet and greet hotel! Lol. I cant wait for the 18 th!! My gosh...i cant even concentrate at work!! Are yall having the same problem or is it just me?
we are!  It is the Ramada Inn.  My main incentive was not only the Meet and Greet (I hate messing with Chicago traffic) but also the pool for our other two teen boys.  Got to keep them entertained or they will make me crazy :)
Yeahhh! We are at the Ramada too. Look so forward to meeting all of you! This site and this group has been my salvation since my baby left. lol Our countdown clock is looking good! I remember when it had 49 days and I never thought I would make it! THANK YOU LADIES. Seems we all have been on the same page, different days with emotions overflowing. SEE YOU IN 2 WEEKS!

We are here for you!!  I so understand the whole not getting letters.  Other than the two I got yesterday, I only had one letter and one call for this entire journey - most of my info has come from this site and I am SO GRATEFUL for you all, my sisters :)

Hang on!  We are getting there.  I can't wait to meet you all and make all those connections.  You all are the best!

Hello!!  I'm new to this forum and my name is Teresa my son is in with your loved one..  My son called today and I told him that I had seen your post and he said that he knows him and that he is not getting your letters but HE is going to let him know that I saw you here and that you are doing fine and not gone..  I also told him that I beleived that you were planning on being at the PIR if I remembered your post correctly..  Keep your head up and your spirits we are all here looking out for each other and I have hopefully looked out for you..  Take CARE..

I realy hope i get a letter today! I broke down at work this am! I just need to know that hes ok!
momw4d! Why was the 2 nd hard to read? Is the div. Having a hard time? Im realy worried!

I am so sorry! I didn't mean to cause you more worry!!

It isn't the Division as much as it is him - he is a perfectionist by nature and he is stressing about making it through.  Knowing him, he is probably doing fine but it is killing me to know for sure.  He could just have had a bad day, homesick, who knows?  The first letter was good, positive and full of pride in what he has accomplished, but the in the second he sounded really down.

I have always been there to help him keep perspective, talk things through and even though he is quite capable to do it on his own, that momma bear thing keeps rearing its head on me. I am having a hard time not being able to talk with him.

Please dont be sorry. I am so glad I have this website to go to to talk to yall! I know that when yall get letters mine will follow the next day cause I realy live in the country! I have tonight to look forward to now to get a letter! Although Im going to have to have someone at home read it to me because I wont be able to wait till I get off work! Lol. Im sorry! I just had to vent this morning and boy, my boss just got an ear- full! She probibly thinks im nuts! At least shes a mom too!! Ok! Im gona straighten up non... Well try!!
LOL!  My boss is a guy and has been walking on eggshells around me since this started.  I know he thinks I am nuts.  HA!!
I am so sorry for those of you having a hard time. I guess the closer it gets the happier I become. I work in a middle school library and have been getting the kids involved in writing letters to sailors and now we are doing pillow cases to send to wounded warriors. I really didn't notice my mood until some of the kids asked me why I am so happy right now. From there I now have a countdown board that the kids love to come in every morning and take another day down. A lot of them have met my SR since I recruited him to help shelf books one time. I also have pictures all over so I think they feel like they know him. I think they are also a big reason I stay upbeat. So here is the inspiration I heard from one student this morning, hopefully it will also make you feel better. She said " Oh my, pretty soon you will be in the single digits!" So hang in there ladies we are going to make it.

12/004 They are calling..  My son sounded good and spirits were up from the last time that we spoke..

Don't worry! My son called today and said they are doing great! Overjoyed to hear his voice. Said they should be getting another call real soon.
