FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Anyone else have a loved one on Ship 9, Div. 087?  My son is going to Nuke School in Charleston following PIR.  Like so many of you, I am counting down the days until March 16!!  Hope to see you there:)

I think Jeana will be the first in our divison to get mail this week.  Like you, I got my letter on Thursday.  Praying for good letter and phone calls this week!!

GOT MY SECOND LETTER!! Anyone else??!!

ME ME ME  Don't what is says yet. Waiting on hubby to read it together!!!

You guys are killing me.  I'm so happy you all are getting letters today.  Could I be that lucky...hmmmmm???  I just called my husband to get the mail!!

Hooray for more letters!!  I thought your day was Thursday like me??  How is he?

I am going home a 2 pm to read it with his daddy.   I am watchig the clock!!!!

He's doing just fine:) Do you have a Facebook account? Just curious...

I got mail too!!!!!!  He sent back the questionnaire I sent, and a letter.  It sounds like they are coming together as a group.  Some of the troublemakers are gone (arrested or kicked out!).  He says he is friends with TN!  He listed a few others too, but they are last names, I think.  His biggest news was that he passed his PFA and he can really shine his boots! 

Ladies, we have some good, strong, brave, and smart kids. They all make me so proud.  I love hearing your news and will share more later.  I can't wait 'til 03/16/12!

PS- Yesterday I showed a graduation PIR video clip to my class.  One of my students asked when I would show another clip, because he wants to join the Navy too!  Too Stinking cute!

OMG  Too funny!  I know nothing about Blue's Clues but I have a 10 month old grandson.  Guess what he's getting the next time I go shopping.  Yep, a Blue's Clues video.  Love it, and yes defnintely stuck in my head!!
