Welcome to the discussion group for divisions 037 & 038

These two divisions are brother divisions and will be training together from the beginning through BS21 their final test. Your SRs, soon to be SAILORS, are becoming friends, and some of them may be heading to A School together.

Get to know each other, your SRs are!

Please still use the Main Wall of the PIR Group to post questions, and concerns, we “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion area as often as we would like.

Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

Hang in there!!!

Hi Qp, I believe my son is going to Monterey to CTI language school. What is CTT? Looking forward to it . We live in the Seattle area and Monterery is closer...Good place to vacation next summer/fall. When will we know if he gets to come home for Christmas??

Jangles,

They are both Cryptologic Technicians, I guess just doing different things as "Spooks". I just presupposed they kept them all together. Guess not. I would love to visit California but we're from TN so FL works better for us:) Nice to meet you. I work in a hospital blood bank and work the weekend before Christmas (try switching that w someone) so I won't get to go to boot camp graduation. My hubby may go. He was in the Navy for eight years so I have lived thru this life before. I am patiently awaiting that first real letter w more details, especially concerning coming home in between boot camp and A school beginning!!

Just made all our reservations to fly to Chicago from Seattle , rent a car and stay at the Ramada and made plans for the meet and greet. So excited. I have never been to Chicago...can't wait to see my Charlie son....Very proud of him...Any one else going where we are????

We are staying at the Ref Roof, it used to be the Comfort Inn. On the map it looks like they are close by. We are going to the meet & greets. Our son in is Div, 037, what division is your son in?

Our son is also in Div 037. We are going to the meet and greet at the Ramada.  And then he will go to Monterey to language school, as a CTI. Where do you live? We live in Arlington, WA about 50 miles north of Seattle,WA.

We're also going to the Ramada, my husband said he wants to go to the one at Sarge's also. Should be a fun evening. We live in Port St Lucie, Fl. It's on the east coast about 45 miles north of Palm Beach. I was on Chicago about 35 years ago and my husband has never been there so were excited about seeing the city also. Just hope the our son can come with us. He will be going to Charleston S.C. for Nuclear program. At least that's only 8 hours away from home.

I think Monterey is within driving distance to us as well. But then after 8 months of school, off to Texas, I believe for more school. Anyway that is what he was told intially. Two years of school. Why Sarge's???

My husband has a friend at work who's son graduated last year and he told him about this. We probably will just stay at the Ramada because it sounds like must people are going there
My son is also in Div 037, we are staying at the Residence Inn, we also will be going to the meet & greets...are we suppose to make plans ahead of time of those? My SR is going to Mississippi as a Seabee...And we are still waiting for our first letter :( at least I get some excercise running to the mailbox 5 times a day.....
The meet & greets are a great thing. Since we can't see our sons and daughters until graduation on Friday it gives us something to do on Thursday and also a chance to meet everyone. We haven't got a real letter either and I'm driving the mailman crazy. Guess I better give him a good gift at Christmas. Everyone said no news is good news but I would really like to just get a note saying he is doing OK. Oh we'll, maybe it will come soon.
Still no letter...3 weeks today!!! Has anyone gotten a real letter...I just want to know if he's doing OK !!! I know, no news is good news, and that's probably right :)
Same here. It has been 3 weeks today and nothing. I called his recruiter yesterday just to try a give me a piece of mind. She told me that depending on the lead person in their division is how phone calls are placed. As for letters, after the first week they can write during their free time. I sent plenty of stamps with our son so not sure why we have not heard from him. She also said no news is good but I feel the same way as you and many other moms do, we just want to know there ok.
