For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Does any one have a recruit in division 938 PIR 8/1
I just received my letter from my son and found out he was in a 900 division and I am not sure why his rate is not MU? I know they can be chosen, but I am not sure this is a good thing or not? not gonna lie now I am worried again. I went from excited to hear from him right back to worry.

I know 900 DIV are performance div. Does he play instrument??

He played the sax in high school marching band and a bit after but his rate is not MU and I know that is not what he wants his career to be, so it worry's me that he might be disappointed He is older now. when I looked it up the sax is not even an instrument they use. and I know he's not singing

My son is also in Div 938 with PIR on 8/1. His rate does not have to be MU to participate in this Div. If he has a background in JROTC, Band or Chorus they get selected to participate and perform for Graduation. I have heard that it is harder because they have extra work. My son went in wanting to be in this Div since he has the JROTC background and wanted the challenge. What is your son's rate mine is HM. I wouldn't worry if they didn't think he had it in him to participate and thrive then they would not have selected him. The good news is we can start watching graduations as it gets closer to their PIR and possibly see them in action :)

Div 938
My son is in the 900 div he's excited, still waiting on his package, he's in charge of laundry. He did track an field, football, marching band, an song in the men's chorus, -
