Happy New Year's eve everyone! If you didn't know, you can find Truman pics on Facebook and Instagram. I follow on FB and the Truman posts very regularly! Since my sailor is an EMN, she rarely is up in the sunshine, so their posts have been great to see!

My sailor girl has been having fun, exploring Crete, eating new foods and drinks, and getting some good rest. She's called us and her husband daily as well which has been so great to hear her voice! I'm excited for her and her shipmates to have time off ship. I know they still have duty days while in port, but it must be a nice break! So excited for their next port of adventure!

My family and I wish all our military friends and families a very Happy New Year!

My DS is on the Truman—with VFA 211.  It is hIs first deployment (and ours)!  Thank you for the info on shipments.  Please add ideas on what to send and anything else to help us through the next 6 mos.  I have gotten some emails—very great.  Where did you all go to find the pictures?
Thanks for any encouragement!

Keeping our great sailors in prayer as they head out. So grateful for each one. I didn’t realize the USS Jason Dunham was a part of the Truman Fleet, he  was from my area. Having had a son on the Truman It’s pretty cool that the Dunham is part of the Truman fleet.  Merry Christmas, happy Hanukkah, happiest of holidays to all!!

Thank you soo much! I have a friend that wants to ship her some homemade holiday cookies, so I'll encourage her to either vacuum seal or send purchased ones. Thanks for the tip about sealing everything up as well! :)
