Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Bienvenida al grupo Terezita!!

Parece que ya vaz casi a la mitad de esta jornada del boot camp y ojala hayas recibido llamadas y/o cartas de tu recruit. Es tu hijo o hija? Mi hija se graduo en abril y ahora esta en Norfolk, VA y asignada al USS Porter desde mayo. Estoy orgullosa de ella!

De las madres nuevas aqui, creo que no hay otra con la misma fecha de graduacion del 5 de diciembre. Si hablas inlges, te has unido al grupo del ship y division de la fecha de tu graduacion? Te has apuntado para el Meet & Greet del jueves antes de la graduacion? Este evento es bonito y tambien informativo!

Sientate con confianza para preguntar o desahorgarte aqui con nosotras! Estamos entre amigas!! Bendiciones a tu futuro Sailor y a tu familia!

Buenos Dias, Leach73, gracias mucas gracias por tu bien venida. Felicidades por tu hija que valiente, Dios te la cuide y a ti te siga dando Fortaleza para que la sigas apollando, es Mi hijo mayor el que este en boot camp. Si todo sale bien se graduate en Dic 5, fijate yo no sabia se la reunion el dia antes se la graduacion, se nuevo gracias por tu informacion, tu si asististe? Nosotros tenemos planeado ir a Chicago el 3 se Dic. Y regresar el 7, somos Mi esposo y mis dos hijos. Ya queremos ver a nuestro hijo. Nos escribe pero muy poco, cuidate y muchas felicidades por tu hija, ;-)

Si fui at Meet and Greet el dia antes de la graduacion. Este evento lo hace un señor y su esposa en un salon y es familiar. Comida, bebida, postre y es gratis. Solo que si uno quiere dar una donacion para ayudar, ahi tienen una caja para eso. Tambien venden playeras que dicen Navy Mom, Navy Dad, Sister, Brother, etc.
Te aconsejo que vayas por que tambien dan mucha informacion a cerca del dia de la graduacion y aparte de eso, puedes conocer a otras familias que tienen hijos/as en la misma division. Otra cosa que eh mencionado a otras mami's es de que mande hacer unos listones para ponernos ese dia que hace una mama en esto sitio de Navyformoms. Igual si eres creativa, los puedes hacer tu. Voy a poner una foto para que los veas. Y tambien puedes decorar la puerta de la habitacion de tu hotel para mostrar tu orgullo y felicidad para tu Sailor!

PUes solo te faltan 3 semanas mas para ver a tu hijo! Es una emocion inexplicable!!

Leach, gracias por contestar. Y por la informacion que me as dado que estoy segura que a mas mamas que nos leen tambien les sirve la informacion que nos das ;-) . ojala este foro fuera mas activo. Sabes cuando escuchaba a personas decir Mi hij@ se va al militar, nunca me imagine tanto sufrir y orgullo al mismo tiempo, y saber que hay personas con las que podemos hablar que tambien estan en nuestra misma situacion. Te hace mas facil el proceso, ojala este grupo cresca y cresca pues no hay muchos en espanol. Done vives? Yo estoy en California.:-)

Bienvenida al grupo...me imagino que estas contando los dias para el dia de su graduacion...si tienes tiempo de hablar con tu sailor dile que te ordene las fotografias y dvd yo lo hize y ha sido lo mejor volver a revivir su graduacion....un abrazo para ti

Morenita Morena. Gracias por la bien venida ;-) gracias por la informacion =-O  Mi hijo no tiene dinero... Se llevo Como 40 DLLs, y dice que compro unas camicetas de su divicion, Crees que el dvd y las fotografias se puedan encargar y pagar el dia de su graduacion?, gracias. Tienes hij@? Con ustedes ya me siento memos sola en este proceso, gracias :-) 

Si puede ordenarlos y cuando se gradue pues ya le habra salido su pay check y de alli se lo descuentan... El dvd se tarda en llegar a mi me llego a los dos meses pero vale la pena y las fotos no tienen precio asi que ordenalas... Y no estas sola amiga aqui estamos todas que hemos pasado por lo mismo y pues nos toca apoyarnos

Hola terezita Feliz Navidad! podrias contarme como te fue en la graduacion, cual fue tu experiencia? mi hijo se gradua en Enero 30 del 2015.
