Hello dear caring ladies, just wanted to post this onsite link in case you weren't aware that we also have a Group here to support our Navy Gold Star moms:

I'm sure Florence, Cecelia and the others would appreciate an invite to this Group with the information and support you all provide. God Bless you and our families with fallen heroes!

This is very important to me. Please send condolences. Send condolences to pattimbh@yahoo.com. Or maybe I can copy them from here if you would post them here. The following is the message I received:

Good Morning All,
I'm a little steamed at the moment, and it isn't from the hot weather we are experiencing. I had sent out a request for condolence messages for the family of Sgt. Jerome "Jerry" Bell, Jr. who lost his life September 18, 2008 in Afghanistan. He leaves behind a wife and 3 young children. Anyway, I also sent to MMO1 - can I say that? Well, they DENIED the request because they only take requests up to 30 days after the posting! Isn't that a shame! Well, I'm asking that if any of you members belong to any other military groups, would you PLEASE request, on my behalf, condolence messages be sent to me. Please feel free to share this with other groups.
Thank you so much,
Patti - WI

Good morning,

According to First Lt. Phillip Klay, a representative with the 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force Public Affairs Office, the cause of Taylor's death is still under investigation. As of press time last week there was no word of the exact cause of his death, only that it did not occur in a combat situation. According to government records, Taylor joined the Army in 1989. He served until November 1995 when he then transitioned to the Army National Guard. He left the Army National Guard in 1997 and joined the Marine Corps in 2001. While in the Marines, he served as a counter-intelligence specialist. Taylor was deployed twice to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. His first deployment lasted from February to October 2004 and the second from March to September 2007. He was deployed to Afghanistan in January. During his military career, Taylor received many awards including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, NATO ISAF Medal, and Defense Meritorious Service Medal. http://www.godsmarines.com/taylorarchie.htm

Thank you
