- About me:
- Hello everyone. I am a mother of 3. My two sons are on active duty. My oldest is in the Air Force and is stationed with his wife in Germany. My second child is Michael and is in the Navy and stationed in Whidbey Island, Washington. My youngest is still in high school and will graduate this year. I told her she should go into the Marines and show her older brothers up. :) I am a 10th grade English teacher and have been for many years. I enjoy teaching and the students I teach. I am very proud of my 3 children. I get teary eyed when I say the pledge or hear any songs that are military related. I have a new sense of pride that I wish I would have had all along. I am proud to be an American!!!, and I support out troops!!!

Why does there have to be a war anyway? Or at least why do the boys and girls that go to fight for our freedom have to be so young? - My son is stationed at Whidbey Island and heading for his second time to Iraq and the 3rd time over there. I put in the search the new base he will be on and it came up with info about a yahoo group for the VP40. I clicked it and this is where it came. Do you kknow anything about the yahoo group?

That doesn't mean anything to me but maybe it does to your son. It was great seeing you yesterday. You really look good. Probably glowing because you've seen your son.

- Becky, I didn't know your son is stationed at Whidby (or I did and have forgotten it). I found a site-thank you for directing me to it. So do you know what my son is talking about with this not being able to socialize with those at a higher rank than him? Did your son ever say that?
