Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
There is many others who have gone thru what your are experiencing and who are there to ask questions and for support. And even if your child had to come home stay around to help the other moms. That your experiences are beneficial to others and your will always be a Navy Mom.

Just wanted share this

I just wanted to share this little bit of an email I got from my sister today. Her son is on his first leave home since joining the Army last spring. He will be leaving for his first duty station in Korea in 3 weeks for a year.

"I took the kids out for breakfast on Sunday. While I was waiting for Kayla to finish up, Micheal had taken Ryan to the bathroom and out to the truck. The waitress came and took the bill from me telling me "the people at the next booth paid for your meal since your husba… Continue

Discription of first 8 weeks.

I found this earlier today on a website. I have put it in the Bootcamp Moms Group. But I thought I'd share it with everyone.

The First Half of Navy Boot Camp

I hope you're ready for an intense time. Your experience at Boot Camp begins as soon as you step off of the bus and are met by one of your Division Commanders. Be prepared, mentally, to be picked apart for being different. Here is a brief run-down on what you'll experience in the next eight to nine weeks:

1. Week One - During week one… Continue

Divisions 260-267,936 families

I thought I'd post this blog for members with children in these divisions who have not joined the PIR July 25th group as of yet. I have messaged the current group members. We are in the process of arranging a meet and greet on the 24th and I wanted to make sure that everyone for that PIR knew about it. The arrangements will be posted in the PIR July 25ths groups Meet and Greet discussion.

Hey Chris!
I am counting the day's until Bruce get's home, I found this section on Navy for Moms, it is Knit for the Navy, you crochet, knit
afghans and blankets for our Navy guy's and send them to them.
I think that is awsome! that's what I am going to do, I crochet alot and this will give me someting to do plus it will mean more to me now that Bruce is apart of the Navy now. I just thought I would tell you about it. they have an address that you can send them to.

Hey Chris!
I got a phone call from Bruce last night and he didn't sound good, he seemed kind of depressed. he has a new room mate again! (3rd one) and he has been there a week but Bruce tells me that the kid will not do the things he is suppose to do like making his bed correctly, ironing his uniforms and cleaning the bathroom...ect. bruce told me the kid doesn't even take a shower every day. besides not having a decent roomate, Bruce is haveing trouble staying awake in class, he say's it is because of his eyes, the lighting in the class room is too bright for his eyes so I told him to go see the eye doctor and maybe they can help.
he is starting to feel like the military is not for him again and that he made a bad choice by joining. maybe you can write to him and encourage him to stick with it! he is almost finished with school and I know he can do it, he just needs some support.
I worry about him.

Hey Chris!
Bruce will be coming home for Christmas, he get's two weeks and I am so excited to see him again! he will be here for New Year's too. he goes back Jan 4th. he is doing so good and I am so proud of him for sticking with it. he told me he misses being home alot and he relizes that he took some things for granted while he was still here. he is hoping to be able to see everyone while he is home. Brian and Micheal want to give him a surprise party the day he arrives. it will be great to see him again and I know that when the time comes for him to leave, I will just cry!!! and not want to let him go, but I have to. I guess I am just being a mom.
he is my baby (who will be 19 in January). talk to you later!

It is a small world. My husband works at Walmart, and Matt was working at Walmart. He was late a lot, but they were ok with that until a manager they fired and rehired after sexual harassment charges, which Matt witnessed and defended the woman, was brought back as his manager for some inexplicable reason.
I hope you recover quickly. My husband has bee sick a lot this year too. Now just has a cold.
