I am so glad Justin will be able to come home for a while. Believe it or not, he will probably be ready to go back before the 2 weeks is up! Chad always gets bored after a week. We were back down at Kings Bay & St Mary's last weekend, passing thru o…

That is so true but I will still be here and expect to hear how Chad is doing and what adventures he is getting into. I know that sence the kids are here Chris wants to spend more time with them, as they grow so fast and before you know it they are going off on their own. You and I both know how that was when our own little darling flew the coop, so to speak.

Genia, Chris and Liz's place is up for Sale and they are starting to pack things up. Don't know for sure when he will get Shore Duty but think it will be around Christmas. They will be moving to New York, or at least I think so. I can't wait as that will make him about 4 hr closer and I will be able to spend more time with the kids. Will hate to see him leave the boat as I think I have made some good friends. I will still write to see how Chad and all the rest of the guys are doing. Write when you can, Norene

Sorry to hear about Mom, how old was she? When my Dad died, he wanted to be buried at sea so Chris got permission to have the services from the Sub. They sent a very nice CD of the Service and a map showing where it was held. I was going to go down for Thanksgiving but the kids don't know what will be happening at that time. Don't know if they will be out to sea or if Liz will be coming up here (if Chris out to sea). Won't give me an answer! I think something is up and they won't tell me. Chris commented that he was getting some boxes to pack things up. Makes me go HUM. They might be house hunting and don't want me to know. That is what they did when they bought their house in GA. I think that is why they won't give me an answer on me coming down. Well have to go and get ready for work ( what a dirty word) talk at you later Norene

Thank you so much for your kind words. Having a great time with Justin. You're right. He is bored. He is working 5 days with his recruiter and will head to Kings Bay a few days early. He is driving back so he will have a vehicle. He has changed so much and has a wonderful outlook on life now. I love him so much and we are so proud of him.

Genia so how was your trip? And how was Chad? Chris said they have been doing some very long hours. I think he said he was putting in around 100 hr a week, to many hours!! Ask Chris about who bought Eli and Cammie's place and he said it wasn't Chad. Yes it is very hot down there right now, I think that is why Chris wants to get Shore Duty in a cooler place ( ha ha). He won't know till Oct. Take Care

The job I have is so grueling. When I go home at night I hurt so bad I can't hardly walk or stand up after I set down for awhile. We have to stand on Cement Floors for 12 hours at a time with no mates to stand on, and only have 15 to 20 minutes breaks ( 3 times a day). Very hot, up to 120 degrees and very fast pace. I just can't do it any more. It is starting to take a toll on my body. I think Chris told me that Chad had bought Eli and Cammie's place! If he did than I know where Chad lives. I think Chris and Liz will be putting their place up for sale soon if Chris gets his Shore Duty where he want. Good Luck and have a SAFE TRIP down there and enjoy that Son of yours. Norene

That is Great. I had planned on going down for the 4th of July but had to put brakes on the car so there went my plans on going down. Plus the shop is starting to slow down and have sent people home, and I am only averaging two to three days a week. Not for a good pay check. Trying to find a better job. Have one lined up but have to wait till they open up the new building. Can't wait to get out of my job now as it is starting to take a toll on my body. If you get a chance see if Chad will introduce you to Chris and Liz, you will like them.

Genia, I did it, I finelly figured out how to put a picture on my site of my Son. We had a meeting yesterday of Navy for Moms and they showed us dumbies how to put pictures on our page. My Son is the one on the left. This was taken when he was doing his schooling for Nukes down at Goose Creek. That is his wife beside him.

Yes I agree having them alot closer makes me happy. I ask Chris if he knew Chad and he said yes. Said Chad was a nice guy. What are some of the guys going to Washington for. Chris put in for schooling up in Norfolk, wanted to do the dive school but they wouldn't let him off in Feb to fly back, but offered it to him when he got back in the States. He had to turn it down because the training would be at the same time the baby would be born. He said he wouldn't miss the birth of his little girl. He was there when Allan was born and he wants to be there when Alex is born. What do you think of the Group,(USSFlorida), do you think we will get more Mothers to sigh in. I think this will be a great way to keep in contact with everyone and to know how our guys are doing. Did you check out the KingsBayPeriscope. They really had a nice artical about the Florida and her crew(Blue Crew) Well have to go the dog is setting here with his knees crossed and looking miserble, I think he has to go outside Norene

Genia I put in a new group for the USSFlorida/SSGN728. This way we can check news of the Florida and put stuff in as to the acomplishments our guys and or the Boat has done. Just like the artical that was put in the KingsBay Periscope. Hope we can get more Moms to join and to know them better Norene
