TroubleonFire I will be praying for you. I hope everything goes well with your surgery.

Molly I am going to order a package and just see what it would cost to mail them. I will let you know. Yeah just think if we didn't have shipping costs how much more we could buy for our adopted sailors!
on Tuesday
I am not sure about having them shipped somewhere other than our store I will have to ask my boss. What happens is we order from our supplier and they send a truck daily to make deliveries to us so they are not being mailed but shipped by their own…

I saw the posting by Matthew's Mom about the transfers at Office Depot - I actually work for an office supply company and could get them at our cost if anyone is interested. Our cost is $18.00 then I would have to mail them out but it still might be…

Yes, I did mail my package to my sailor.

Oh Molly you bet we can do this! I can't wait to get started. That is so awesome that they turned to us for help because they know that we will come through for them and I am sure it will be in a big way! Just let me know what our focus is going to…

Sue I actually have enough to do 5 female and all 30 of the males if you want me to. That way it would all be in one mailing.
December 12

Barbara if you haven't located the TX Longhorn material I can check at our local WalMart today I am sure they carry something. Let me know if you want me to check and how much you want. Were you thinking about cotton?

I live in Silsbee, Texas and would be glad to do whatever I can to help - a meal or gas money or we could probably find them a place to stay.
December 11
Yes Brenda Sue I couldn't not offer to help out if I could in anyway but I doubt if they would want to detour this way since they are probably going to be pushed for time. Just wish I was on their route.

Mary, Proud Mom of Nick do you know if they have had enough responses for helping the Marines? I am in Silsbee and I wouldn't think they would be coming my way but would be glad to help if they are.

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Support your son/daughter no matter what. This was the path that my son had chosen actually way before he graduated high school but it took me longer to get used to the idea. I was always proud of his choice but concerned. To this day that hasn't changed but I couldn't be more proud of the decision that he made to join the Navy.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Yes, Matt has been working hard since he got there trying to work his way up. He is trying to get into Officer's School. I just hope that having a new girlfriend doesn't side track him. He has always wanted to join the service and I am so thankful that he got accepted into the A2E program. It made me feel better that he would at least end up with his degree before he started A school. I know Matt wanted to get started on his school also but I think with the holidays coming up it was best for them to wait. Is your son coming home for Christmas?

Wow Petty Officer - How did he do that? Is he testing or something? As you can tell my son doesn't say much...lol - That is great for him more $$$$$$. I really don't know too much abt the school program either - all I know is he was taking classes. He didn't mind it - but I really think he wants to get started.

Have a good day.

Hi I'm Michelle and my son is in Pensacola and just finished college classes too...I rarely jump on the PIR group but something told me to look and I saw your comment. What is his job? My son is AT and was son going to the florida state classes? And now I'm seeing your pics as I type this.....Man you got pics in his other uniform - I love them. Did he class up? My son was suppose to and now they are saying after xmas. So from now until xmas just duty stuff - I could tell he was disappointed.

Karen seems to be doing great! She is very busy as well with all her studies and duty times. She had purchased tickets to come home for a few days over columbus day weekend but they changed the liberty from 4 days to 3 and she decided it would be to short and too stressful, you know what they say about the navy changing their minds whenever they want. She was able to return the tickets for a credit for December when she comes home, I dont know if she will decide to come at thanksgiving or just keep those days for christmas. I wish we were closer than 19 hours. She says all the a to e kids are a real good group of people. I'm glad Matt is doing well. Keep in touch , I enjoy hearing from you!!! God Bless, I might add some new photos to my album recent ones of Karen. Liz
