OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son left today for Navy boot camp. Sitting at the computer, I see he left me the Navy For Moms.com postcard, so I thought I would check this out.

I was looking at airfare and saw a person comment about flying into Milwaukee. It's over $100 less to fly into Milwaukee instead of Chicago and it's still only an hour drive. Bizarre. I would have never thought.

It's been very comforting to know we all feel the same things. The first two days I felt crazy. Just grief, though. Thanks for telling me about it. Looks like you have been more active than me. I always feel like a dork when I write something, so I just luck for hours  :)
