Hey Mona,
Thanks for the friend request.
I enjoy talking to other parents, when I get a chance to be online. My youngest daughter Jessica, likes to hog up the internet, so it doesn't give me much of a chance to get on here.
So, if you leave me a message it may take a few days for me to write you back..lol
God Bless,
Pat

Hey Mona, Nice to meet you! My Son, Daniel wanted to join the Marines, when he came home and told me he joined the Navy I praised God. I know that it was my prayers that changed his mind. He also had signed up to be IA and go on the ground with the Army after being in the Navy for 3 years. He even had his orders. I prayed so hard and long, the Lord changed his orders! I believe in John 3:16 with all my heart! Daniel is on the Theodore Roosevelt.

Welcome to Navy 4 Moms, this is an exciting website and very informative... We would like to invite you to the Blue Candle Lighting event that occurs in your home anytime you wish to light a candle for your recruit sailor or the military in general. This is done to honor their service during the holidays, birthdays, special events or if you just want to. The Home for the Holidays/Blue Candle Moms also ask you join us in this group. This event and group has no special connections to "any one group" We are all Navy Moms, Wives, and we became Blue Candle Moms.... this included everyone on this website. Please come join us and share your stories and your lightings and your holidays with your child...this was done because some moms were not having their sailors home, and we are support group that can share feelings and fears. Annouce your child is coming home or the despair of knowing on certain holidays it is your sailor we light the candles for. To honor them for the service in the past present and future. To honor those that gave the Ultimate Sacrifice for our freedom. We celebrate the freedom to be Blue Candle Moms and the freedom to light our candles anytime we choose. Please think about our group and the Event and when responding tell where you lit your candle, and the reasons for your paticular lighting. the event will continue and once you rsvp come in anytime and update your lightings

Hi Mona, My daughter is in Va. she is a MAA 3rd class Petty Officer. I am gald you invited me to be your friend. I live in Delaware so I am on one coast and you are on the other. This is a great way of getting to know other people and a great support group. My daughter Heather has been over seas already and she is back now hopefully for awhile. She says it could change in the blink of an eye, her orders I mean. She has become a very responsible person since joining the Navy. We should all be proud of our children which I know just by reading these comments that we are all proud of them. God Bless you and youe family and keep in touch. Colleen

Profile Information

About me:
My name is Ramona but everyone calls me Mona. I have 4 great kids and have been taking care of my 81 year old mother since 1990 due to a stroke. I have watched my kids grow up way to fast. My oldest is Ominexy (aka) Junior. He is the one who is my Navy baby. Then there is Jonathan. This one is my prodigal son. My 2 girls are Stephanie & Melissa. I love them all very much.

I often make mistakes & I am sometimes a little bit duh duh, but do have a way of making others laugh. I will go out of my way for you and yes have been labeled as a co-dependent since I just can't say no. I do wear my heart on my sleeve so I get hurt alot. But I know I must always be the forgive and forget type since that is the WWJD rule I live by. I love animals and kids but not kids who act like animals. I love taking pics but not having my pic taken, go figure. I feel that I am not photogenic. My favorite thing to do is watch TV and of course having family gatherings with terrific food. I am more comfortable being at home then out and about. Since taking care of my mom I do suffer from the occasional cabin fever..... "LET ME OUT" episodes occur from time to time. But thank God for prayer, wine, and the occasional Prozac. My favorite food is mexican. I will try almost anything once, but I can not eat something if it has eyes and is staring back at me. Ewwwww!!!

My faith is in God and I know I am truly blessed. There are days I cry & would like to give up but I hold onto my cross and will finish this race. I consider myself a positive person so don't care much for negative people. Gods world is awesome if you just shut your mouth and open your eyes. I really do feel we all have such a short life here. So lets all live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, and avoid the bullshit! Someday may we all be in paradise if you beleive in John 3:16.
I am here to support or represent my:
Ominexy aka: Junior
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
How to let go. It was one of those bitter-sweet kind of moments when he told me he joined the Navy. It all happened as an answered prayer. He talked about joining the Army so I prayed & asked God to keep it from happening since most of the men who joined went right to the front lines in the battle. He came home and told me he joined the Navy. When I asked what about the Army he told me that the door was locked when he went to register so he went next door to the Navy. Now that's God!!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was the best decision he/she could have made
