Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

it is very important that you never mention our Carrier or any other vessels movements.  That is past movements, future movements, dates, this includes months.  No mention of future ports or destinations. OPSEC RULES is a must here. Read them...breath them...live by them. If reminders are constantly given out to one individual ...It will not be unfortunate that we must remove and block that person from this site. It is actually our pleasure in order to keep our Sailors completely safe from our end here on Navy4moms.  You'll never meet more careful family members than here on this site.  Once our Carrier has announced a port that they are in....you may shout it out loud as well. However; we beg you to be careful with not just your sailor but our sailors as well.  Silence is Golden.  Loose lips sink ships. So if you feel you have mentioned any movements for the future please remove, this includes your own personal facebook.  You may be set to private...but you're not.  A friend of a friend of a friend...the list goes on.  Eventually that friend of a friend becomes the enemy. We have the bad guys watching this site as well as other open forums. You don't need to join this site to read what is going on.  You only have to join if you would like to post.  If you ever feel you may have written something that should not be shared. Move your mouse to the right upper corner of your comment box.  Click on the blue X and that will remove your comment. Again; we welcome all new members, enjoy this wonderful group of women.  They will walk you through good times as well as the rough times. Remember; please keep my sailor safe with silence and I in return will always do the same for your sailor. Your sailor and mine are precious cargo.
