We're getting Married!!!

Hi everyone... my Navy For Mom Friends!!! I just want to thank everyone who was there for me when my Sailor Aaron was in boot camp (graduated June 13th 2008). I just wanted to give everyone an update on how we're doing... Aaron is doing great... he is still in Great Lakes for A school. The best thing about that is I get to see him every weekend... I'm only 45 minutes away and I have my car so I go up there all the time... He's in school for Engineering... works very hard... As for me I am still… Continue

Aaron's PIR- June 13th

June 13th is a day I will never forget... I drove into Great Lakes on Thursday night and went to dinner with some of my Navy for Mom friends, whom I loved chatting and meeting with. Afterwards I went back to the hotel and kicked it with Aaron's family before it wad time for bed. I was really excited so I wanted to go to bed early. Woke around 5:15am and got dressed. Was on the shuttle bus around 6:35am. Didn't take no time getting there and no time getting in. All together there were 7 of us. We… Continue

Hey! I don't get on much anymore, either. We're all great here. Adam is finishing up his Power school in Goose Creek, SC and will graduate on July 31. From there he will go to NY for Prototype training for 6 more months. He's in the Nuke field and there is a lot of training before getting an assignment. How are you guys doing? Where is Aaron stationed? Hope you both are doing well. My youngest is planning on enlisting soon, so I guess I will be back on with the whole boot camp thing again!

Hey Lisa! Just checking to see how the newlyweds are doing. I guess Aaron has finished with A school by now. If so, where is he stationed now? Adam will finish A school on Dec. 5 (Ithink) and will stay in Goose Creek, SC for Power school for 6 months, then either GC or New York for Prototype school. The nuke program is so involved! He will be home for Thanksgiving and again on the 19th of Dec. until Jan. 4 on leave before power school. We only live 3 and a half hours away, so it's not too far for him to come home for Thanksgiving. I thought you might have some wedding pics on here by now. :)

Hi Lisa,
It's forever since we last talked, how are things going with you and your sailor? I bet PIR is exciting we have just under 3 weeks left, I'm so ready to see my son!! I see you're in Chicago, and I was wondering if you could tell me some places to go, sight seeing, eating place you like, can we get to the lake? Can you tell I've never been to Chicago???? Anyway, I want to take some really good pictures. What are you going to school for? My daughter graduated in May from the University of Missouri. Now, she will go to KU and get her masters in social work. Proud mom huh!! I've been blessed with two great kids, thank the Lord! Well, I hope you have a great weekend!
