- Both enlisted and officers can take an IA tour
- Male and female
- All pay grades with some restrictions on E-1 and E-2 (regarding what units they can be assigned)
- Sailors cannot volunteer while in A school or in a DUINS (Duty Under Instruction) status

- I just heard from my son today - in basic approaching week 4. He told me that he submitted mine and my husband's names for entry to graduation. However, he FORGOT that our daughter will also be coming and did not submit her name. He didn't seem sure about who to speak with concerning her coming. She's handicapped and I'm assuming he ASSUMED she wouldn't be coming. I'm a little panicked b/c we need to make flight reservations ASAP . . . and I won't be hearing from him again until he can write on Sunday (this is Friday) or possibly call again. I know that her name must be on the list, but how difficult will it be for him since he's already submitted names??

No a security clearnace is needed for particular rates that have "secure" info that they are working with. Depending on the job they need diffrent clearances depends on the type of classified info that they work with
