SherryS..........n, I see you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your full name. You also need to change the URL (address) to this page. Make change 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) to take care of that. (If you are using a Smart phone, you will need to switch to Desktop View to make this change.)

Also make change 3 while you are there so that this page is no longer open to EVERYONE (Anyone) with access to the web.

There may be other changes you need to make as well (change 4???), so read and consider each of the changes.

Since your recruit has contracted within the S-PACT program, the information within Professional Apprenticeship Career Tracks (PACT) Program will be of interest to you. You will be able to enjoy extra time with your Sailor following PIR. Plan to leave late Sunday or on Monday if you are able to do that. (See PIR Day and Liberty during PIR Weekend.)

I invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC will let you know what is happening and what to expect.

Hi, (?-sorry I do not think I know your name).

Kaylie is so adorable.  Thank you for sending a note to me about your call.  Yes, we also received a call from Thomas on Saturday afternoon and talked for about 33 minutes.  I was the one getting in the shower and had my phone on the counter, saw Waukegan, IL and freaked out.  Had to run around and grab the rest of my family and talk in a towel....but who cares. It was so great to hear his voice.

He sounded good and also is getting through each day.  He said as long as individuals do not talk back, listen carefully, do what they are told, and work as a team, etc...it is not bad.  I asked him about Kaylie, but he did not think he had met her yet (he is a red head, although I am not sure if there is any hair there now to tell that:)

Thomas is going in as a Seabee, but from what I am told you never know because it can change in an instant if they (the Navy) needs you somewhere else.  We shall see.  He is scheduled to go to CA after basic for 4 months (we did not realize it was this long), so we may be trekking to CA over the holidays because that is a long time!!  He is growing up so fast, sometimes it makes me sad....but also SO proud of him.

Hope you are having a good week.  I am hoping we get some letters this week since he said they get mailed on Mondays.  He said he wasn't going to mail them since he told us everything and we said "no", please send!!  Just that little bit helps tremendously!

We are getting closer:)  Stay in touch and take care.

We got a letter the other day and Thomas had written it on 9/10.  It talked mainly about the first 48 hours, which sounded very tough.  I will ask him about Kaylie if we hear from him (I would love to hear his voice this weekend!).  He has a good friend (and prom date) named Kaylie, so that is a good sign:)  I will have to look up SA, as I am not familiar with that....what does she want to do?

Where will she go after basic?  I thought we would be with Thomas the entire weekend of the 27th, but it sounds as if they may leave on Saturday.....we shall see.

I see you are in MO?  We just moved to Iowa from the East Coast, so lots of changes/adjustments in our world right now.

Hope you have a nice weekend.  Anne

How are you doing today?  How old is Kaylie and what is she going into (was she the Seaman Apprentice?).  Have you heard from Kaylie yet?  This is so hard as a parent, so thank you for your support.  My name is Anne by the way and my son, Thomas is 18 and going into the Seabee Division (unless something changes along the way....I am told you never know).

Hang in there!
