Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Hey!  Got your message to group.  I have been told that the date will be Tues night, the 7th.  Calls would come in on Wed afternoon.

No, just search for PIR 8/3/12 and it should pop up and you can request to join. It's a closed group but you will be approved pretty quickly. Then they will ask for ship/ div. I like it better because comments are private, unlike this forum which is open to anyone on the Internet.

Hi Eric's Mom. Our son is in the same division. If you Facebook, there is a very active group for our PIR date there. Only 5 or 6 of us from the division though!

His name is Sean. I know they are really busy and he hates to write letters.  He does write to his girlfriend every week and she  tells us major highlites but  not day to day stuff.  The one letter he sent we have memorized because it is the only contact we have had since he went in.

Hi Stacie, I'm fairly new to this site too.  I'm  so excited about graduation I can hardly stand it.  We are driving to Great Lakes and just staying over for Friday.   We made reservations before we knew he would have liberty all weekend.  He won't be alone though.  His girlfriend is going to stay until Sunday.  He is going to A school at GL.  Where is your son going for A school.
