Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Click on OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) and a page will open in a new window. Read the Page and go to the bottom and follow the directions to make change number 2. You will also want to make change number 3.

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in September, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.

The Rating Information Card for Construction Mechanic (CM) can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/cm.pdf. Your Sailor will most likely fly out to "A" School the day after PIR. See PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend to help you know how to plan your weekend.

Hi, welcome to Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones). I look forward to sharing this journey with you. I see that you have changed your Username so that it no longer contains your last name; you also need to change the URL to this page to remove it from there as well. Number 2 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link) will tell you how to fix that. There may be other changes you will want to make as well, such as number 3. Do you know your SR's PIR date?. Take care and blessings to you and yours.
