OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When I have a tentative schedule, I will post that I have it on the board and will try to send it out through Message to Group.  Still working on it now.

I understand how you feel. I would consider sitting down with your daughter and son-in-law and explaining to them how it felt to you when the box was opened. You do have to explain your feelings to them. If they do not understand, by all means get a post office box for your mail and send the address to your SR. We are here for you! :)

If you have received the PIR date of 03/02/2012, then the group, PIR 03/02/2012 (clickable link), is for you.  I found one member on there from Ship 07 Division 079, which would be the brother division for division 080. Brother divisions train together and will go through Battle Stations 21 together.

Hi! Yes that was me that took your picture :)  I've got "the box" but no letter or address yet.  Have him on my mind ALL the time.  Praying they are doing okay and adjusting....
