OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi, wanted to welcome you to AECF group. Your recruit is going into an excellent field with lots of schooling on the front end. Expect them to be in GL for about a year for A school and then they will be relocated to another state for C school. Looks like you still have a few weeks until your PIR date so I hope that you are starting to see some letters now. Those first weeks are the hardest waiting for a real letter to arrive. It seems like PIR will never get here and before you know it - you will be celebrating a new sailor in the house! Please let me know if you have any questions.
