My son is in class 281 also. What does PM mean? Is this email sufficient to be included in the list?
Class 281 that starts on Wednesday December 2nd.
I wish my younger daughter could be talked into joining the Navy.....I want to go back to the Silo!

bring her, you only regret the things you don't do. you can walk around in the big building, or sit in the balcony where she has more room to roam around a little

I'm getting frustrated not knowing what is going on. Have you received the graduation packet? Still nothing for me. My neighbor is checking my mail every day and calling me. I'm finding it hard being on a family vacation without him here. It is weird. All I think about is what is he doing right now. I just keep writing and praying that he will seek God to guide him in what ever is going on. The other day when I wrote him I had to remind him to be patient and listen for what God wants from him. I just hope he is reading his bible. I leave it all in gods hands. Hope you have a wonderful week. I will keep you updated.

- Hi Sue. No I have not heard from him yet and I have not received the graduation package. We have not made reservations yet either. Since we have not heard from him, I do not want to make the reservations and find out that because he was so sick he has to start bc all over again. I just hope he has received our letters. As of last sunday he had only received 2 of them. I write every day. I run to the post office before work and put it in there mail box.

- We are going in on Thursday and leaving Monday morning. My kids are 18, 20,(girls) and 51/2. Our little guy does not start school until the 8th of Sept and our 18 year old moves into college the 4th of Sept and our 20yr old is going to Ireland to study abroad and does not leave until Sept.15th. Graduation date worked out great for us.

- Hi Sue, I'm so glad you got a call. It is nice just to hear their voices. My son said about the same as yours. He is enjoying it. He said the weeks are going fast, but many of the days go very slow. He is looking forward to going out to eat after Graduation. Where are you staying for Graduation. We are staying at the Springhill suites in Waukegan. I have 3 other children so we needed to have the extra space of a suite. Its a brand new beautiful hotel. They gave me a great rate for Graduation.

- Hi Sue, Yes Bryan is in Div 840, his Graduation is also on Aug 21st. Why did they transfer your son to a different div.? Hope all is well for him. Bryan will also be staying at pre-buds after Grad. He knew that before he left. At least we will get to be with them the weekend of Grad. Bryan said that only the top Div.'s get to have the nights off. The rest have to come back at night. They will not know which Div's are top till the end of basic.

- Hi Sue, Sorry I have not gotten back with you. I have been at my cottage in northern michigan for 3 weeks. Bryan is in your son's div. 840. Bryan's real first name is John so I'm not sure what he is going by at Basic. We have gotten 4 letters from him so far. He is doing well. He is Recruit Petty Officer in Charge. He is in charge of their Div. It sounds like he likes it a lot. He says things are going very slow. It makes for long days. How is your son doing??? I did get the box and I cried like a baby. I still have not washed the cloths. We missed Bryan very much over the fourth. We are always all at our cottage as a family, it was strange not to have him with us. Hope all is well with you and your son. What is you son's name?

- Hi Sue...Yesterday was really hard. I cried all the way after we dropped him off. Today was tough also. He had to wait at the airport from 1:00-7:15. It was a long day so he called home a few times. He just called and said they were waiting for the bus to take them to the base and they told them to call from the airport since it's so late they will more than likely not get to call home tonight. That was a hard call not knowing when the next time I can talk to him will be. I will be thinking of your family on Sunday. Good luck and god bless. It's ok to have tears. I told my son it is my right (after all I have raised him for 22 years). He laughed and held me tight when we had to say goodby.

- That sounds great. We are leaving in 20 mins. to take him to his recruitor he leaves for MEPS this afternoon. He will leave for Great Lakes first thing in the morning. I have a very heavy heart today. Every time I look at him the tears start. I will be thinking about you and your family this weekend. This is not very easy. God Bless! My sons name is John (Bryan) Dunn from Michigan.
