While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Communication after the form letter
i hate being that wife, but I am THAT wife. I got the form letter a few days ago and now I’m going crazy waiting to find out when I’ll hear from my husband again. Having severe mental illness has NOT helped but I feel like I’m going insane with no communication. I just wanna know how everyone gets through the first few weeks. He arrived at BC 1/30 and is DIV 141 but I’m going insane. :/

He would have been able to write for the first time today during holiday routine so you whould receive a "real" letter this week. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.
You may receive an "I'm still alive!" call in week 3 or 4 (calendar week, not DOT), but that call can come before or after that depending on when the RDC is able to schedule the phone banks. Don't expect a call, but do have your phone available from 8ish am to 8ish pm Central Time and be pleasantly surprised when you receive a call. The "I'm still alive!" call or other calls the RDC schedules usually come in the mornings on weekdays except on the day of a PIR because the "I'm a Sailor!" calls, which are typically made 1-7 days, but can come up to 10 days, before PIR, are in the afternoon and evenings, but calls can come anytime during those hours on Saturday. Calls on the day of a PIR or on Sunday come between 1 and 8 pm. Calls for security reasons or for information are generally made during regular business hours. Remember "No news is good news!" Madison breathe I am sorry you are feeling this way, it is very hard not knowing what goes on but all are going the the same. come and chat with us on boot camp for moms. you will see that most of the woman are going thru separation anxiety. you just have to stay busy.

I hope your doing better. I go crazy worrying about my daughter she actually got pushed another entire month out. We had to change everything it is her first time so far from home and longest she has ever not communicated with us. Her calls are short and not often and letters seem a bit sad and lonely, until last Saturday. She sounded excited and happy she graduates March 2nd. Hang in there!!!

Thanks so much! Man that has to be hard, but you’re so close to seeing her! I have yet to hear from my husband. I got a letter from him (or so I thought), but it was really just paper work for me to get my dependent ID! I’m hoping for a call this coming weekend or next :) congrats on your daughter!
