My Daughter left on August 29th and her Graduation date is 10/26! Until you know what Ship and Division he is in you will have to wait for your first letter. My Daughters Recruiter actually gave my Husband her Address before we got her letter. Got our first call last Saturday. That was so nice!
Here are some Great sites to read.
To guesstimate the PIR date, count 9 Fridays, after your recruit arrived, including the Friday of the week that your recruit arrives at the RTC, to get the most likely PIR (graduation) date, but then know that it could be the week before if s/he is one of the last to fill a division from the previous week
The Form Letter will arrive in your regular mail around nine to fourteen business days after the recruit's arrival at the RTC since it is not mailed until a division’s 1-1 Day of Training, which takes place after have taken and passed the first PFA, which is on about the fifth business day after arrival (later if the division that your recruit was tentatively placed in upon arrival did not fill until a later date). See Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) and Fitness Improvement Training (FIT).
Is your Son staying there for School? My Daughter will fly out Saturday. So we will be able to spend the Day with her then bring her back in the early evening. She can't have her phone or Computer until we meet her at the Airport Saturday. We can wait with her until She boards which is nice. Was really hoping She would be able to stay with us in our Hotel.
I was hoping so too! I will take whatever I can get. Can only bring her Tennis Shoes, Bras and Underwear. She is going to South Carolina. We can ship her clothes to her at some point. She can't wear Civilian clothes for awhile. So proud of her and scared too! She will be 19 on Oct 2nd! Her young life is forever changed. Have you gotten a letter yet?
