I'm doing a little research - hopefully I'll know more soon.  Once I do I'll update.

Thank you your help is appreciated

Ok - I reached out to my contact and received the following response "Recruits are most certainly welcome to receive letters sent through Sandboxx".

She reiterates that the current nondelivery issue is only temporary because of divisions all switching ships and she believes that Sandboxx will be resuming their service.

Try sending the letter again either through Sandboxx or like 3ofusbda did - just print it and mail it.

I just posted Sandboxx info on the main page of N4M.

Please note the message below about the move.

Mail sent via USPS to their old address will be forwarded to their new address. Any mail sent using other carriers, such as FedEx or UPS {{ Or Sandboxx}}, might be returned if the package was not delivered prior to the move. There is no way we can say for certain with other carriers.

I would stick with snail mail to ensure that all letters reach your sailor.  It seems like a bit of a pain to wait 3-5 days for your sailor to get your letter and hope they reply but they will be ok.  This move is new territory for a lot of us and so what may have been SOP before may not apply for the next few weeks.

I’ve been very happy with Sandboxx. Letters sent by 5 pm EST are delivered same day with stationery and a stamped envelope for my daughter to write back. I can include pics and gift cards for the commissary and can track when the letter was delivered. My daughter loves getting something each day and I send handwritten notes too but don’t worry about when they’ll arrive. :)
