I have not heard from others recruits that are in division 145. Is my son the only one?lol
No- my son rob is there with him too !!

Have you heard from your son ?
Hi All

Still waiting on a letter from our son, hopefully we'll have something in todays mail. Miss him so much:( Our phone is by our side at all times, but from what I've read they call early in the morning. I hope that's true for my son as I'm at work until 10 every evening. Keep me posted! TJs mom
Still no letter today! :( Am dying to see a letter from my son. Hopefully soon. Would love a phone call too! I know they are trying to make men out of them, but don't they realize us moms want to know they are alright & doing OK? :)
Ellen & denbarb - so nice to connect w/other moms with kids on the same ship/div. I know what you mean - I rush home to see if there are any letters too. Nothing yet here either, just the form letter. Where are you gals from? I'm in New Mexico. Tab
I agree it really is great to connect with others from the same ship/division. We're from Tampa Florida, and its pretty chilly down here tonight, not as chilly as the GLs though so I won't complain. TJs mom
Has anyone made hotel or airline reservations yet? We should try and plan a meet and greet of our own on Thursday evening if we're not able to all stay at the same hotel.I'm concerned about making plane reservations just yet, I'm trying to hold out to see if my son with be a Grad and Go. I'm hoping for some answers in a letter or a phone call. TJs mom
I don't travel much so I don't know much about it. When do you think is too late to be trying to make hotel reservations? We will be traveling from Texas so don't want to get all the way up there & not have anywhere to stay! A meet & greet would be fun.
I've been a little leary of making reservations just yet, too. A meet & greet would be great! Guess I'll wait til I hear from Troy first.

Hi All,

You can make hotel reservations now, if you call the hotel direct you're not charged until you actually stay. You have up until April 7th to cancel the reservations with no charge incurred. Not the same for the airlines, the only airline that I know is flexible is Southwest, they don't charge if you have to change the dates and they'll also give you credit for the full amount to purchase a future ticket. Just an FYI for everyone. We have our other children coming with us so I needed to get a room big enough room to fit us all in the most economic way. So we're staying at the Springhill Suites which is owned by Marriott. They currently have a special where you're reimbursed $15 per night in a visa gift card after your stay. No letter today for us either and we were really bummed, looking forward to seeing the mailman tomorrow:) Great to read all of your postings, as we get closer to PIR and after we've spoken to our family members we can plan our meet and greet in a central location. Enjoy your weekend!!
hello. My husband is on ship 3, division 146. I have not heard from him yet. I thought he got to call after 2 weeks but, I don't really remember what he said when called from their office in Great Lakes. I can't wait to see him on April 9th. I miss him so much but, luckily I have a fantastic little sister and friends who all keep me entertained. Has anyone received a phone call or letter yet? Jeremy will be a nuclear engineer and will be reporting for A school in Goose Creek (Charleston, SC). Is there anyone else who has a loved one who will be reporting to Goose Creek?
