First at all, thanks for the opportunity to be part of this group. It really makes me feel connected some how to my son even I have not received the so wanted phone call, (Not the 1st - 30 seconds phone call), but the one from where I will be able to hear from him and to know how is he doing. Thru this site I've learned from the first time where to look for his cell phone after I have received the “box” two weeks ago.

If you have a daughter/son in this division I would love to hear from you.  I read somewhere that after 2 1/2 weeks I should be receiving a phone call from my son and I am anxiously waiting from that phone call. If any one has received a phone call already from a son/daughter from this division would you mind sharing it?

Saturday and while I was away in FL a 3 pages letter arrive at home in NJ, needless to say I had to wait for my husband to get home so he could read it….. when I asked my little one to read for me he just kept on saying -He says they will start Hell week tomorrow, but you know how is Christian - BTW, the letter was dated 9/19. most probably at this time you all know our division is doing great….and what I can make out of his letter they are working very hard to earn as much flags as possible. He said the flags lets them march on their own without RDC’s and let the div as whole to sing “cadence” while they are marching….oh and I also receive a quick call to confirm he is g&g.
I was worry sick about how my son was doing, but as the time goes by he has proven to be doing better and better…..and they are also counting the days as we are. While he is upset he won't be able to hang up for 3 days in the city with us in his new uniform, I am very happy because he will be stationed in Groton, CT which is closer to home.
Let's hung in there, this part is almost over.
Hugs!
Hey guys I'm not in your DIV but I am checking in to let you all know my candle is lit for your SRs and I am praying for them to be sailors in the AM. I know they will make you and us all proud!! HOOYAH!!
Deemedic, while my son did not get to go thru this first battle station in his div 342. I do want to thank you.
I am sooo sorry Yamile, but he will continue I know he will. You will see him in his dress blues and he will be a sailor. They want him to be and God wants him to be too.
dont be sad my daughter may not get to do PIR this week either, she failed her running test by 20 seconds.........she called last Thursday and said she was re-taking the test today and if she passed that and her battlestations she would call us tonight..............we are patiently waiting right now for a phone call....no call no PIR on 10/15.

hugs to you!
Hi Christina - 20 seconds are achievable....You'll see how that call will come... It is not over until is over...faith, faith and more faith.
WE just got the call......she passed her tests yesterday.........on our way to chicago!!! see you all there!!!
