For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I hear ya. It's really hard. Brandon said in one of the letters that it's a lot bigger of a commitment than he thought, and that it's only been two weeks and he's miserable without me.

I wouldn't say I'm MISERABLE, but it's always good to have your soulmate with you. It's been hard, but just keep busy. I picked up photography and photo editing. It's pretty fun. Same as scrapbooking, very fun.
Find something you like, and do it. Go for a walk to the mailbox every day (maybe even take the long way) and you will just be in a better general mood.
Reading a good book always keeps me focused on something that's not missing my hubby. Have you read the new Steig Larsson books? Absolutely fantastic books. :)

I just start feeling so lost without him here. Ever since we've been together we never spent more than 2 days apart. It's really hard waking up alone in the morning when i'm so used to walk up to him there. It feels so cold.
:(
I've found that one of the things that helps me cope it getting out of the house. Just going to walk around the mall for a couple hours puts me in a better mood and helps the day go by faster.
I like to read also.. What are her books about? :)

The girl with the dragon tattoo!
favorite book ever! It starts a little slow, but picks up very fast later, and you can't put it down :)
This last week I've been out of the house because they found mold in the bathroom, we have been at my sister in laws gmas house. I'm really out of place, but I just try to keep busy. :)
Writing to my hubby every night helps me sleep. Waking up I listen to a pick me up song like something by Gaga, and then I'm in a much better mood for the day :) -

I've only gotten the one set of letters last Thursday, so we should be all getting more tomorrow. They are only allowed to mail out letters on Sundays, so we only get them one day a week. They get mail call every day though, so it's good to send something to them every day.
Also, I'm pretty sure we'll get our "I'm alive" calls tomorrow. Keep your phone charged and with you at all times :)

Yes! Mine also said their brother division got 22 safety violations.
Haha hubs said some guy stepped over the line, and tried to reverse it by stepping back over. So that was two of the strikes :P -

Graduating with honors! :)
That's what that means. But I think getting three means you graduate with honors. Or so I thought. Maybe if we get all four that makes us more awesome? Not sure.
