Received a call from my son last night, they need me to fax over a copy of his birth certificate. He seems fine and everything is still on for 10/28. It was great to hear his voice. Not really sure why they need another copy of hiss birth certificate but if the Navy is asking I am giving them whatever they need. Hope everyone has a great weekend and we are yet another day closer. Enjoy!
Mine needed me to overnight him my full legal name.  They do a background check on everyone invited to PIR before they ever let us on the base.

Justin's recruiter called me Saturday afternoon.  For those SRs that are getting sick, he informed me that they guys have to miss 4 days or more or miss something major to keep from graduating on time.  It was good to know.  He will double check on Monday to make sure that this is the case for my son.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend, 10 days from tomorrow I will be headed to Great Lakes and my Sailor!!!

I got the most wonderful, yet disturbing phone call today.  Our son is in the hospital day 3 with pneumonia and will have to make up everything he misses.  We are going to say prayers that he may walk with his class for PIR and then make up what is missed.
I'm so sorry to hear that!! He'll be in my prayers - hopefully he'll be on the mend soon. Please keep us posted!!
For everyone who ordered ribbons to wear to PIR they have all been shipped even the ones that were ordered last night and this morning. You should have them within 2 to 3 days and I am sure many of you have already received yours that were ordered earlier. It is almost time for PIR and I know you are all EXCITED about that :-) If anyone missed out on ordering ribbons and would like to get them please contact me ASAP. I have a very quick turn-around and ship Priority mail so there is still time to get them before you leave if you order quickly. Just send me a friend request on this site or an email to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com    Thanks everyone for making my ribbons a part of your very special event.
Any word from any of the SRs about BS21? I am hoping for a letter today. Since I had my surgery last Sunday I feel lost. I can't check my own mail. I have to have my family do it for me. So today has been a long day since everyone had to work today. I have to wait until they get home with my mail. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that something shows up today.
Argh! I got a letter today but absolutely no mention of battle stations! He did write that he needed all of our full names for the guest list. And from what he said, we will all be getting a short note about that. Funny! Let me know what you get!

Woohoo, Justin was released from the hospital today.  We will see how this next week plays out.  In the mean time, he said that BS is the 25th and 26th.  He will remain with his division, but not sure what will happen with graduation yet.  This is one happy mom to know that he sounded so much better when he called this morning.   Not much more info I can provide as he has been absent for 5 days.

@ treemanjlp- so glad to hear Justin is improving and back on track for battlestations, my hope and prayer is that he will graduate with his division, they have through so much together, and developed such a bond, I believe there is strength in that bond, that has carried all of them through their individual trials and the challenges their division has faced. Keep us posted!
We got mail today. I don't know what is going on yet. I am still away from my house and can't check my mail yet. I'm hoping that my brother can check it for me tonight. I really can't wait to see what the letters say. We only have three more days until we get to see our SR.

It is with great sadness that I received confirmation this morning that my son is being held over for an additional 2 weeks and that his division has been switched to Division 367.  As he has spent the most time with your sons and daughters I wish your children well as they go on to their respective A schools.  I am quite sure Justin has many fond and not so fond memories with your children. Best of Luck to all of the Recruits and their families!!!
