51 signed up for dinner on Thursday, April 24th - Will you be joining us?

6 days to go ladies!!! Have you let me know how many seats to save for your family for dinner on Thursday night?

I have reserved a room for dinner on Thursday evening, April 24th @ 7 pm at the Full Moon Restaurant which is just down the street from the base. We will need to tighten up our head count on Monday.

We won't be able to see our sons and daughters until graduation itself so this will be our chance to get together and celebrate for them. Husbands, grandparents, girlfriends, children, etc. are all welcome to join in.

The website for the restaurant is - www.fullmoonopen24hours.com

If you would like to join us for dinner, please posted your name and head count with your ship and division # on this forum and I will try to keep a running total to submit to the restaurant the week before. We are hoping to make name tags (no promises) by screen name and division so everyone will know they have been chatting with.

Look forward to meeting everyone!

I think I have said who was all coming with me,, but just in case I haven't.. it will be me, my husband Gary, and grand daughter Jayden. We are looking forward to meeting all of you. This site has really helped me alot.. actually made the time go faster....
Hey Betty!

Looking forward to meeting you guys!!! So what are our identifiable articles!!! I thought about pinning Bryan's picture to my jacket!

What time are you guys getting in? And did you end up staying at the Navy Lodge? Nicole and I get in around 3:30. Still deciding whether or not to rent a van. I am not sure about the driving in the snow thing.

Kimberly,

Not for sure what we can do to identify ourself, I really dont know if I have a picture of Ashley alone,, but I do have one on my phone that she is holding her baby the day before she shiped out at MEPS.. maybe I will email it to myself, and have my husband print it out and we can use that.. I am sure there will not be too many people with a young girl holding a 15 month old..lol... And yes.we are staying at the Navy lodge. I called to confirm it today, and I have my plane and car rental all set.. We arrive in Milwakee @ 9:14 am, we are staying until monday morning and then heading home. That will be hard, because I wont be bringing her home with me, With the marines, you can bring them home for 10 days, but now with her.. boohoo... but we are looking foward to meeting some really nice people while there. I dont think I have come across anyone else on my daughters ship or div.... She is ship 14 and div 163

Betty
I asked Bryan about Ashley in a letter and last week got a response. He said he didn't know her! Who knows how close they are. I have met four other women who have children in Bryan's division and ship. That has been nice! I am so excited to see you! I think I will just approach all the grandmothers with children! Should not take me too long to find you!!!
I should not be too hard to find.. I will probably be the only 38 year old with a grandchild..lol... and my husband is about my height, and he has a flat top.. so we will be easy to find.... Did you say your son is Div 163, what ship again...

Betty
he is 164 ship 14. For some reason the two of them seemed to be close in number so I was thinking close in location!

I made my Mom a Grandmother at 39. She wanted to be called Grammy. 25 years later and she is still Grammy!

Kimberly
Well, I have to say, when I found out she was pregnant, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, but as I started seeing her belly grow, and feeling her move, I started getting so excited, I think I was excited from the beginning, but I didnt want it to show, because you never know what will happen with the first trimester, but now she is my pride and joy, but at this momement she is about to lose that title, because she will not go to sleep. I do not know what is wrong with her, since Thursday I have only had like 2 to 3 hours of sleep a night. she usually gets up and wont go back to sleep.. Try going to work, with 2 hours of sleep, and look at computers all day, or sit in on meetings all day... Been really tough. so I said no nap today, and guess what my mother and husband let her do, You got it,, take a nap, So guess who is getting up with her tonight.. Not me ..lol.. I am going to put my head under the pillow, and tap my husband and tell him, the baby is crying... Sounds like a great plan, but guess who will be the one up.. ME.... I wants some cheese with my whine...lol..

Also your son probably wont know my daughter, she said she stays to herself, because all the other girls fuss with each other all the time, and get them all into trouble, and she does not want any attention on her, to be held back or anything...

Betty
I can remember sleeping with my kids when they were little so I could get sleep! Bryan had Chris are 18 months apart and I just threw them on each side of me!!! My daughter is almost 25 and is still in school doing a doctoral degree, no prospects yet!!! The only one I ever think about getting married or having a baby is my older son who is 21. Talks about marrying his girlfriend all the time!!!! But the next week says there is more fish in the sea! Who knows!!! I am not sure what I would do with a baby in the house! Probably take over!!!!!!! By the way I am 43!! Not too far ahead of you!!

Kimberly
Okay, Mary. My husband and I will be there as well. My recruit's name is Dan Reed and he is in DIV 161 Ship 07. It'll just be my husband and myself - Donna & Ernie Harper. Dan's dad and stepmom don't get in until later in the evening. Look forward to meeting everyone there.
Wonderful Donna, it's going to be a big turnout for div. 161.
Kimberly, Well let me tell you,, If and when you have your first grand baby, you will not want anymore, you will want to give it all your attention,, I can not go into a store anymore, without buying something for Jayden, She is only 16 months old, and her huge toybox is full.. and clothes, well. I can tell you, she wil never do without..lol... Can you say spoiled.... but it is ok.. she is a grandma's girl.....
We will get to meet her soon! That will give her a lot more people to spoil her!
