Hi Jenideer, My son also left on the 24th. I got my box yesterday and am trying to get his address from the recruiter, but no luck yet.

I'm surprised that some people have already received their box. I'm hoping for it today. I don't know why I'm so excited to get a box of dirty clothes but go figure. I really miss my girl. I started crying while making dinner last night. It just hits me out of the blue sometimes.

My daughter got there th3 25th and no box either.  I feel left out!!!

The box finally got here.  The FedEx label had the right address and zip code but not the right city.

Hi guys so got the form letter today, no note from the stinker Nick, but he is in ship 11/div305 so anyone else out there have a kid in this ship? And Nick wrote his graduation is on a tues 2th sept? this is strange thought they were all on fridays? anyone have any ideas?

Jenifer

Maybe he meant Sept 21?

My son left Nj on July 26th. I was so happy that I made him take his cell phone. He had a 6 hour delay at the airport,,,so it was a relief to hear from him that he was ok and still waiting to fly out. He sounded so tired when he called and was able to sleep on the plane. He sounded better when he called after they landed. I am now waiting for my box and letter. The silence is killing me. I am so not use to not knowing what he is doing or where he is. I know he is safe but he is the first to leave home......

My son arrived at GL same time - i got my 28 second phone call :( I didnt realize how hard this was going to be! how are you doing ?Do you have any other children? i have twins who are almost 8 so they have been doing a good job keeping me busy but i still cry a lot and miss him incredibly!

Anyone who has a son/duaghter who arrived BC on the 7/23 from TN? After my son called me at 10 to say he arrived safely there was a called made to TN. just curious.

I received my box yesterday. It was kind of weird seeing all her clothes in there. There was also one tube sock, I'm assuming the other one was kept for her to keep her stuff in. I read somwhere that they do that. Her Bible was not in the box so I am happy that she got to keep it. Anyway, there were also two letters from her that she wrote on the trip to Chicago. It was awesome to hear all the great and loving words from her. She will turn 18 on August 9th so I am going to send a birthday card today and hope she gets in time for her birthday. So yesterday was a good day and now I am waiting for the form letter and hopefully there will be a personal message on there as well.

Hi all, well my SR is in ship 11 div 302 and his PIR is the 21st of Sept. I have booked my hotel the Navy Lodge and gotten airline tickets today.

I heard from Tracileighe another mom who's son is in the same division and got lucky to get a call my SR is doing well and is the flag leader, not sure what that means but must be somewhat good. So no word yet, she said the 302 wrote letters this past sunday and so maybe we will be getting one.

Hope everyone out there is well and maybe we will all meet at PIR. :)
