My son is in this division.  He shipped out of New Orleans on 7/10.  I finally received the form letter today!  Looking forward to meeting others who have loved ones in this division.

I am also getting very excited to get on the road. We are still driving there have road trip, well half of it planned, going through a lot of northern states on the way going to try to stop some places we have never been before. Should be fun. Are you going to any meet and greets? A mom from the facebook page that I share passed on a phone number to order Division shirts 972-347-6655 I have not called yet but she said to call and you can order your SR's division and get it before you leave to identify ourselves at the meet and greets. Hope we get to hear from our SR's again by phone soon. Have you heard from anyone in Div 281 or 282 that has gotten a phone call this week?

Laurie, that sounds like a long trip.  How many of you are traveling?  That should be fun.  We are flying from New Orleans.  It will be 4 of us.  I plan to go to Sarge's meet and greet.  It is near the hotel I am staying.  I definitely want to order division shirts.  I will call them tomorrow.  I have not heard of anyone receiving a phone call this week, I heard maybe possibly tomorrow.  (Got my fingers crossed and phone charged!)    Keep and touch!

Hello Everyone!

My SR's last letter was really upbeat.  He seems to really like his division.  He said they did very well at Marlinspike.  Everything was positive.    It looks like we might just make it!  He is on "head" duty.  Anyone else out there has a SR with head duty?  Keep in touch!

Hi Our SR's are in same division but mine has not said anything about any duties yet. His letter came Thursday and sounded like your SR's. Things getting better for them gone through hell week. Cant believe 19 more days!!!!! We have 6 in my family but 5 traveling. My youngest is missing her brother very much. She is marking off the calendar day to day. We were talking about going to Sarge's also. No phone call yet. Thought he would call yesterday (friday) but nothing. Hope soon. Talk to you later.

I was hoping for a call as well.  But I resigned myself to the fact that I may not hear from him again until "I'm a sailor" call.  I'm good, as long as I keep receiving those positive letters from him.  The days are ticking away.  Thinking about them today and their Sunday routine -  They must love Sundays!  :)

Thank you so much for posting that pic.  I makes me happy to see some of his buds.  I so miss RTC posting random pics on their facebook.  Love that pic!!  Thanks again!

Great picture seeing some of the recruits. Thank you for sharing this with us. So excited to see my SR soon. Feels like another slow before the storm moment the last few weeks. I hope it picks up the speed a bit. Haven't heard from my SR lately. No phone call or letters. I just keep sending him letters. On the countdown I just want it to go faster.

Having a day of emotions, anxious, excited, frustrated, missing son, want days to go by faster. Wish son was able to call, wish I knew if he could call. Deep breath...okay a bit better.

It looks like we are really going to make it!  I feel like the last 7 weeks have really flown by.  My SR had been in DEP since Novemeber, so it felt like July would never get it.  Now bootcamp is almost over!  God is Good!

I guess now we anxiously await the "I'm a Sailor" call.  That should happen this week, then next week we're Chicago bound for PIR!  Keep in touch and as always let us know when you hear from your SR (or Sailor)!

Nolanavymom, Already getting things together for our trip. Just waiting to print out pass for PIR. Got letter from son on Thursday. He said he might be able to call anyday now but for sure on the 30th. We are hitting the road on the 31st. Coming up fast now. Hope this week flies by. Looking forward to meeting everyone. He hasnt gotten his orders yet or at least at the time he wrote his letter. Hope he knows more when he calls. Hope to see you soon in person. You still going to Sarge's?

So nice to hear from you Laurie!  I am in preparation mode as well.  I'm glad you mentioned that they may be calling on the 30th.  My SR wasn't sure of the day.   We will arrive on Thursday, and plan to attend Sarge's Thursday night.  Time will fly, especially with Labor Day weekend thrown in there as well.  I'm sure you have a lot to do to prepare for your long drive.  It's so exciting!!!!    I hope to meet you as well.  :)

Yippee!   We will get to see our boys next week!  Can you believe next week?!
