Thanks for replying, my daughter came from Houston, TX and she is 18 years old.  How old is your daughter?

Hi- my son left yesterday 9/12 for BC. Between flights he called to let us know he was okay.He called around 11:30 when he got to GL to let us know that he had been processed and to be looking for his box and that he will write in about 3 weeks.Very proud of him.

Thanks for the reply to my post.  How old is your son?  My daughter is 18, graduated from HS in June of this year.

My daughter left on 9/11 and she is 18...just graduated from HS the end of May.  What ship and div is your daughter?

I think they were all told to say the same thing. Im waiting for notification re which division she is in.

My son turned 18 on August 17th.  I can not wait to get his address.  I miss him so much.  When i received the "I am here" call, it sounded like he was reading from a card.  LOL!  I bet they are given the same thing to say.

Hi my son left from Dallas TX on 9/11 also I miss him dearly can't stop crying...! I also got the call and it seemed so quick. He is also 18 graduated in June...

aaahhh  don't cry.  This is one of the best opportunities and if he chose it on his own, I'm sure he'll be fine.

I know he will just miss my little man...He was the man of the house (: ! I'm proud of him ! I'm a single mom of five boys and we all miss him.  My son is my best friend and I know I will be proud to see him in 8 weeks....

I also am a single mom, I can't match your 5 boys though : )  I have 3 and my son is the youngest. He lived with me and we were always together. I can't wait to see him graduate in 8 weeks.

It gets crazy at home but I wouldn't want it any other way :) Boys are so much fun! My oldest son and my 16 year old are very close so it was crazy that this is the first time they been apart from each other. I know Jr misses his brother dearly...

WOW my hats off to you for raising 5 boys on your own !!!!  What a blessing !!!  And it is SUCH an honor that he chose to go to the Navy.  So many opportunities.
