Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Welcome to the Division Discussion for Division 802
Be very aware when posting about your SRs who are in this division. Make sure you read the OPSEC rules (everyone should).
sjtina, cor and a couple more ladies will be joining this discussion to answer your questions about the "800" division.
Although your SR is still in BC, what they are doing may be slightly different from what the other divisions in this training group are doing. It is also recommended that you go into your "settings" (clickable link on the right side) and change your privacy setting to "private" and change everything to friends only.
Please still use the main wall to post general questions, and concerns, such as meet and greet questions etc. Specific questions regarding the 800 division should be posted here.
We “veteran” moms don’t always get to into the discussion groups as often as we would like to, and the ladies helping out with the 800 divisions don't always get to the main wall as often as they would like.
Every single question that is asked is important
Every single concern is genuine
Every single member is important to us
We don't want to accidentally overlook any of them or you.

kaw, those stories were the best. I have heard some good ones over the years. The best was when a recruit broke wind and some laughed. Punishment included getting on their hands and knees and bark like dogs.

Mumser be careful not to mention dates of movement. We want to keep the boys safe.
To answer your question, whichever day it may be, they will need to muster and get briefed on the rules of dos and donts during liberty before they are free to go.

Mumser, I know, but you are doing fine. Just wouldnt want anyone to know where and when your son may be flying. Crazy people out there. These groups are not as private as we would like them to be

Ladies!
In 11 days we'll see our SR's! Anyone excited?! ;)
Just a reminder, tomorrow (even though today is 11 days, it isn't available yet) we can log on to the website to print off the gate pass for PIR. The password as well as website is located in the form your SR sent home when he first arrived.
I'm looking forward to meeting those of you that will be attending :)
A reminder for those that can't make PIR;
If you have anything you wanted to send to your son you are more than welcome to send the gift to my house and I'll take it to PIR with me (I live in Oak Creek, less than an hour away from Great Lakes.) To get my address have your son request it from the SR with the girlfriend in Oak Creek. -

Good Morning Ladies, If you haven't heard division 802 won the Captains Cup yesterday. They get a trophy to put on their dinner table all week and a flag for PIR. I would have loved to see them compete. All those type A personalities. LOL.

We were thinking that they should win, but it's good to know they did. We keep hearing about so many divisions getting phone calls all the time, I wonder if they know how lucky they are. Our son wrote and seems in great spirits. It's going to be so good to see him this week.

Ladies, its getting close. It wasnt so bad was it? lol
For those of you who have your loved one moving to prebuds, be sure to exchange emails as you get to know each other. There are many ups and downs ahead of you and the best support you can get is from each other. Unfortunately there are no longer class groups being set up, which I would gladly explain via private message. The BUDs and PreBuds groups have a ton of information available in the discussions. I think pretty much everything has been covered. If not, please do not hesitate to contact me or any of the other veteran moms. Also, next weeks division will be joining your boys to form a class.
I remember like it was yesterday my son's PIR. 800 divisions entered through the door last and the room explodes with cheering and clapping. A moment you will never forget.
Dont forget to congratulate or even offer up a mom hug to a sailor whose family was not able to attend.

Thank you for all of the information over the past weeks. We are constantly motivated by our son's positive letters but know that this was the first step in a long journey. Have you or has anyone here found out when our boys are doing their battle stations? This might be classified, but we were just wondering when we might get a call. Also, how many of you are going to the sarge's meet and greet? It sounds fun, but it sounds like mayhem as well. Just a few more days!!!!

sj, you brought tears to my eyes remembering that day when that door rolled up and they marched in. Ladies, take it all in. You will be so proud. They all look the same so try to find out where they are lined up in the division. They should be able to tell you. For those moving on to preBUDS/BUDS, hang on tight. Like sj, I will be happy to answer questions as you move on.
