Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I live in Va. so letters come later than ... what test? have letter from every day up to the 10th(journal style)

The test should have been on rank/rate recognition, rape awareness, equal opportunities, sexual harassment and fraternization, core values, professionalism, test taking, navy chain of command, watch standing, customs, and courtesies. I think that covers it all.

Amber - Thank you for starting this discussion for us 283'ers. Please remember to pray for their test tomorrow so that they can hopefully get a ONE HOUR phone call :) From everything I have heard, 283 is working well as team and they are making great progress!

I hope our guys do do well on thier test but I'm not going to get my hopes up on that phone call, even though I'd love to have one :)))))))) I've heard that RDC's lie. Do someone post that division 283 was nothing but men? Glad to know they are working well together. It's crazy to hear that some of them have been takin away in handcuffs. Kinda makes you wonder what they've done, even though I don't think I really want to know.

That was me :) My Sailor told me in his letter that 283 is an all male division. He said it is awesome because it makes him feel more comfortable pushing everyone to work hard physically and to do their best. He has a lot of respect for women, he is the type that doesn't like me to carry in groceries or move heavy furnature... that type of stuff. So pushing a female Sailor would not be his specialty (although I am sure she would be fully capable!).

Sounds right about my Sailor too. He goes out of his way for me like that as well. He's VERY strong despite only being 5'7" and he's very conscious of it. I think with him being with other guys it'll help because he won't have to pull back. Personally, I'm glad there are no women either because they can be a distraction, too.

I haven't gotten one either... don't worry.. it'll either come or it wont. Either way, each day that goes by is one day closer to when we get to see our Sailor again. :)

I havn't gotten a phone call today either. But when I talked to him on Tuesday he said something about how the call would probably come on Monday or Wednesday...??? Better safe than sorry though, my phone is attached to me at ALL TIMES just in case!

I got two more letters yesterday :) Just want to share with you all that they got their dog tags this past Monday :)
