Ship 12 Div 158 seems to have a couple of discussions going on in other places, I thought posting this in our PIR group might make it easier to find.

Be sure to check out the discussion on scarves to wear to PIR (it's another discussion in this group), if you're interested, so we can identify with one another at PIR :)

My SR has been at boot camp since 3/8, and I haven't received any mail yet, although some other divisions from this PIR have. Has anyone from Div 158 received mail yet?

Hi Robin,

My son is in Div 157 (brother division?)  He arrived at Great Lakes 3/9 and I just received the first letter today. Btw, my son is nuke also.  Do you know if they have a Saturday departure?

~Shari

Hi Shari,

From what I understand, these two are in brother divisions. Good to know you got a letter. I'm hoping for one today, but won't be able to get it until tomorrow :( We have to pick up our mail at the post office, but they close at 5 and I work til 5, so I'm always a day behind.

I don't really know, but from everything I've read, I would guess that they are Sat. departures. Just wish I knew what time, but I think they might not even have that information until PIR.

Cool that your son is a nuke, I guess they'll prob. get to know each other eventually, if not already. Thanks for letting me know!:)

Hi Robin!

Thanks for replying.  I hope you receive a letter soon!  Jsparkle mentioned that her SR has a Sat departure, between 1-2 am, and he's headed to SC too I believe.  I don't plan to fly out until Sunday just in case.  I'm happy to get acquainted with other nuke moms.  Nice to meet you :)

Hi cack, I still need to get my white scarf, but I have time :) I am staying at the Ramada Waukegan/Gurnee & they do have a Meet & Greet on Thursday 5/5 from 6-8. It is open to everyone, not just guests of the hotel (I called to verify that).

No letters here, yet, either :(

I think it depends on where your grandson will go to A school if he is Grad &Go or Saturday departure. From what I understand, if their A school is at GL, they're Grad & Go & you'll have to wait til they check into school after PIR before you can spend time with them, but then they'll have the weekend liberty according to their school's policy. If they go to any other school, they'll most likely fly out sometime Saturday.

Uggghhh!!! another day, no letter! Has anyone from Div 158 received mail yet??
I just saw that tink11 got a letter today, I think her SR is in 158, so maybe there's hope for tomorrow! I am guessing that they are in or just starting week 3 today.
My SR called today! He said they were able to send out letters on Sunday 3/27, so we should get them this week! Today is day 2-5 for them.
That's awesome news, Robin!!  Maybe I'll get a call this week too.  :)
Thanks, Shari. I hope you do get a call!
