FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Meet and Greet for anyone who has a child (seems odd to call them that!) PIR'ing on 9/5! Bring everyone, kids included! Let's get together to socialize and talk about our kids! :)

I just talked to B. She is having an MRI tomorrow. They think she may have an anuyism or tumor on her optic nerve. We won't know til Friday what will be done about it or to her. Everybody pay.

Ok, it appears that I really don't navigate these sites well. I am listed three times for the meet and greet, with two of them being ? and I think I may also be under the might attend listing. How do I go in and edit this so that it is accurate?

Paige and others... My husband and our daughter have already confirmed with kathy MaGee that we would attend PIRS 9/05/208's Meet and Greet. I hope you include us in your count. Please pray for allthe people in harm's way due to GUSTAV.

We are still planning on attending but our group has grown from 3 to 4. Our youngest son is now traveling with us. Can't wait to meet everyone!

yeah, I finally got on here to change my rsvp to Will Be Attending. There will be 5 of us and we are all very excited for our sailor and yours. Can't wait to meet everyone. See ya thursday night.
