OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I'm a newer Navy mom and live on the east coast. My son is in Whidbey Island, Washington. I'd like to attend if I can help. Since this is sorta new to me, can you tell me what it is I can do or bring? I'd love to meet some local mom and help any adoptee. Thanks, deb

Shirley. I will be out at Old Town at approximately 4:30-5:00 pm If you could bring that table you told me about that would be great. I spoke with Tracy and with all the participants she is running out of tables so again that would be great. I will give you a call and we will talk. I have your number - thanks. I have so many things going on right now and it is early in the morning. It would be fine to bring your husband. He could help too. I am bringing my laptop to show people out there the letters we get from our sailors and I also show them the pictures - it helps, I think, when the public actually see the response from our sailors it brings the feeling home. Keep our fingers crossed ladies - I am a praying. This coming week it will be announced to the audience and then again next week.

Dear Lord Jesus, we so need your intervention now to bring the love to our sailors. May our brothers and sisters join in the love that we share today and every day. Amen.

Have a great day ladies!

P.S.
Please also remember.....don't go crazy "buying" items!!!!! We are always looking for people to take box"es" to the Post office!!!!
Old town is currently do a donation drive as well as UNO's so donation of items may not be the problem-MAILING may be!!!
I think we can put the donations in "christmas" stockings.....I will be bringing things to "dress up" the packages so they have THE Holiday FEEL and are filled with Tons of L♥VE
