Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Don't forget holidays, family events or birthdays - Just light a a blue candle, any type of blue candle (Blue for Navy) and allow its warm glow to bring you comforting joy & peaceful solace, and while separated from your Sailor.

Our Blue Candle burning for All Our Sailors, Family and Friends. Always remember, our Sailors are doing what they want to do. They would not be happy doing anything else.

For my son who is underway right now and for my youngest son who is in his second week of boot camp at Great Lakes. I miss them both dearly!!

Our Blue Candle shines for the SEAL that was lost in a recent parachuting accident. WE all walk a fine line between total happiness and total sadness. Our deepest sympathy to the family of this fine man and to the SEAL community who has lost one of their own.
Let's hope that this accident will strengthen the resolve of all our Sailors to do the best job possible to prevent this unnecessary loss of Our fine Men and Women in the Navy.
Our Blue Candle is on for All our Sailors, Family and Friends.

Our Blue Candle is on 24/7 for All our Sailors, Family and Friends. It breaks my heart when we lose one service member. We are all parents and share the loss of a loved one.

I light a Blue candle and pray when I am worried about my sailor. It helps a lot.
