For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi momof4, congratulations to you "Mom!" Four Children. Now that is an accomplishment. This is the place to be. NavyDads is great too. I use both interchangeably. The moms on this site have been a great help to my wife and me. The videos of first stages on enlistment are very helpful. The Acronyms are overpowering so it is good to find out what they mean. Still learning.

My son is leaving for Boot Camp on January 15, 2013 from Cleveland, Ohio. He will go to MEPs on the 14th and then they are taking him to a Hotel for the night. I am half scared out of my mind!!!
Navyformoms is the best place to be when your son/daughter goes into the Navy. Lots of support here and we have all been down the road you are traveling. Look at all the videos of what they will be going through. As soon as you get their address start writing letters. I am a proud Navy Dad. Welcome aboard.
Hi, my son leaves for boot camp on the 15th. He has to go down the day before with the recruiters. He spends the night in a hotel and leaves tues. He is my youngest and just got his driver's license today. we live in Washington state
Hi! My son is leaving for boot camp on the 14th from Colorado. I am so proud of him. I am trying not to miss him until he's gone, easier said than done.
My son is also leaving on January 14 from Miami to Great Lakes IL Having alot of mixed emotions as he is the baby of the family and last one to go. I will now be an empty nester as they say....Happy for him as he will be starting a great journey and only wish him the best and the family will be his biggest cheering section all the way
