Event Description

In conjunction with Navy Week being held in Chattanooga, we will be dining with MCPON West.

The restaurant is casual, the prices are reasonable, the food reviews sound great! It is easy access from the freeway. They have an upstair room that we will be utilizing and a balcony that overlooks Chattanooga.

We look forward to meeting everyone -

Thank you!

Hey all, I was so disappointed to be a no-show for the dinner. You have no idea how much I was looking forward to meeting MCPON West (wait a minute, your all Navy mom's, so I guess you do!). I did every thing possible to make it, but I've been dealing with some issues that interfered. Think we could get him to come back? ;0)

What a fabulous turnout this evening! I think MCPON West was truly honored and flattered that each of you took time out to meet with him today. I was truly pleased at how sincere he was what a great evening it was overall.

I know we'll be getting pictures posted soon. Thanks to each of you for taking time out for this event.

Good morning all - leaving my house @ 2:30 today to head to Chattnooga and looking forward to meeting you.

If anyone can join us at the last minute please do - I've never known a restaurant yet to complain that they need another plate or two!!!

For those that are not familiar with the area - (me) there are two Sugar Ribs in Chattanooga, this one is on 15th street. The address and phone # are posted above for your convenience.

See ya'll soon!

Is that your way of telling me to...shut up Tucson girl?!!! LOL
Comment by Melissa (Tucson) on June 11, 2009 at 12:37am
Mary, ADN & Laura: Yes, strict orders for pictures. And don't forget, BIG smiles! Mary tends to keep on talking when pictures are being taken so someone remind her to just smile and look at the camera. ADN tends not to smile at all. And Laura, well haven't had the chance to take her picture yet, she's too fast.
I will be with you all in spirit....have a terrific time and stay safe!!!

Chris, congratulations to your new 2nd class sailor!!! Woo-hoo! We'll have to toast in his honor tomorrow.

Kellie, that is a long drive girl. We'd love to have you but understand completely.

Thanks for the local insight Laura, I just did mapquest and it's showing about 1 hour and 40 minutes from my house but I'm hoping to be on the road about 2:30 just in case of the traffic.

Ohhhhhhh...that Melissa! Pictures, pictures, pictures! Good thing Irene is going to be there with her camera in hand...you don't even know she's taking them and the next thing you know.....bamm there's a 100 photos posted on her page!

I think we are going to have a wonderful evening ladies, I look forward to meeting you.

Oh, and if anyone is uncomfortable walking back to their car alone, my husband will be glad to escort you. He's 6'5" and you can't miss him!

To reach Sugars, you will spend some time on I-24. For those not familiar with the Chattanooga area, I highly recommend that you factor in time for traffic. 24 can bottle neck at I-75 (for those coming from Georgia) and can stall for no reason for those coming over Mont Eagle. We are on Eastern time. Riverbend is also going on in Chattanooga this week, which means the populations swells in number. DO be sure and lock your car doors and don't leave valuables laying in sight. Other than that, welcome to the beautiful Chattanooga area. It's a great place and I think we're going to have a great time meeting each other - oh, and the MCPON too! :0)

And MARY and ANITA: I'm under strict orders from Melissa to take pictures of us together. She'll be with us in spirit!
Keliane - Trevor's Mama Comment by Keliane - Trevor's Mama on June 10, 2009 at 1:48pm
I'm sorry but I will not be able to make it. My daughter has a summer league schedule and my middle son is beginning a new night job tomorrow so he cannot help. I cannot leave my daughter home alone all night. It is about a 6 hour drive for me from Savannah. Please have fun for me. Hope to meet everyone some other time. Please give my regards to MCPON from an Enterprise mom.
