Hi All!!!

Took a little drive over to see the park, we have never used this facility before and I just wanted to take a peak at it. I'm horrible at directions but used a GPS and had no trouble finding it. The main crossroads are the 120 Loop and Lower Roswell Road. There will be a Brusters Ice Cream, a Subway and a Zaxbys right where you need to turn.

Sewell Park is a Cobb County Little League Park, it only has one road in and out of the park and you will go past 3 or 4 ballfields and toward the end of this road on the right you will see the covered pavillion on the right. It will be before the swimming pools - you cannot miss it.

So couple of bits of information for everyone - the grills are limiting. There is one outside of the pavilion and one bigger one inside the pavillion. I have picked up an 18 lb. bag of charcoal and bottle of fluid but it's been years since I've used charcoal and not sure how far that will go but everyone is welcome to use it. I will be bringing a pasta salad to share to the picnic tomorrow.

Swimming pool - immediately next to the pavillion is the swimming pool(s) the weather is supposed to be nice and about 88 degrees so if anyone is interested, they can bring swim suits and use the pool, depending on the age of the swimmer - there is a small fee of $1.50 - $2 per person.

Hope I'm not forgetting anything but I will be checking the site later tonight - please let me know! Look forward to meeting our Navy families!!!

Margie - that would be wonderful. We did get the package from Navy4Moms, it only has 10 balloons in it but my daughter (who is away at college) said I'd never be able to blow those up with my allergies! So, if your can bring the helium great otherwise I think we can probably blow up 10 balloons right???

If you would like to come early that would be great, I went over to the park just to double check it and the tables were kinda ...ugly so I went and grabbed some tablesclothes and such. I will definitely be there by 11:30 am...I'm gonna pm you my cell phone # if case you need to reach me. Thanks in advance for your help.

Margie - that is awesome! The package from Navy4Moms is supposed to be delivered today and then I will know better what type, size and how many balloons we are talking about and will let you know this afternoon.

Weather sounds wonderful for Saturday but we also have the big covered pavillion reserved so we will be good rain or shine!!!
