Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Event Description

Here is the plan:

We will meet at Cheddar's for lunch about 1:00.3151 Horizon DriveSpringfield, IL, 62703 Phone: (217) 525-3820

After lunch we will head to the Drury Inn and "check in"
We do a Packing party from about 3:00 -5:00

At 5:30 we can meet in the hotel dinning area for drinks and appetizers/dinner. During that we can decide to go out dinner or a movie or just sit at the hotel and laugh it up and chat more! OR We are open to any suggestions any one may have!

In the morning we can join back up together, eat breakfast and some may want to go shop or head home.

Staying overnight is NOT a requirement just a little "extra fun" for those needing a get away! =]

HERE ARE THE DETAILS OF THE HOTEL: several of us have decided on. If you want to share a room you can just hit up another mom that is going and work out your details. There are couple other hotels near by if you don't to stay at the Drury. I think there is a Comfort Inn, and Holiday Inn Express.

We are making reservations at the Drury In. Here is a link to the Hotel and Info on how to get a little better deal:

Today's the day gals. I will be coming. I made it back home yesterday morning. If all goes well I can make it out before the rain hits again and the flooding comes back. I can't wait to see you gals.

Glad I have a young man in college coming with me.  He is running the sock drive for Molly's Adopt a Sailor for his final school project.  Will be able to use his youth to be my lifting guy.  He is bringing someone very special with him, too!

Just a FEW things packed up already!  Hope we have room for all the finished boxes, since they have to come back with me for the grant that is paying the shipping.

Doreen--sent you my private message.  Go to under the person's pix, and there is a link to send a message.  You can always check for friend requests and messages over on the top right.

Nope, I didn't get the hair color.  I picked up alot of the snacks at Sam's Club.  I figured if there was something else we needed, there must be a store around there we can go to.  See you tomorrow at 1 p.m.  I will be in my Navy mom garb.  Should we exchange phone numbers through a private message just in case we need to reach you.  How do we do this?

YAY CAROL!!!!  I will pick up the hair color for the nurses  looking forward to seeing everyone~~

Good News!!!!  Our shipping will be paid for!  That's $14.55 a box.  Do you think we can put together at least 10 boxes?  I'm bringing a lot of odds and ends including instant oatmeal.  Did anyone pick up the hair color two of the nurses wanted?  If not, I may go get that after we are done.  Bring all your kids hand drawn pix.  Be sure you have a note to go in each box, even if you have to copy them.  Cannot wait to see you all.  !

I went to Sam's Club tonight and picked up some of the stuff on the list for the MASH unit.  I did get gallon size ziploc bags so no one needs to get them. Only 3 more days!
