Way to go Brb3. Boston Baked beans are peanuts with a caramelized hard sugar coating. I grew up with them and love them.
We will be packing for all 190 men and 26 women.
Isn't it just heartwarming when people help like the lady at the insurance office? Yippee!!
Carol,
I had never heard of Baked Bean Candy and there I was today in Rural King buying stuff for our horses and right by the check out is Baked Bean Candy! Didn't buy any yet. Does anyone know what it tastes like? Baked Beans? LOL
Will we be packing boxes for the whole squadron? I had a lady at the Insurance office give me $20 for care pkg. supplies today!
ALSO NEEDED FOR PACKING PARTY
Quart and Gallon ziplock bags.
I've made 7. I'll ask around re: the fabric.
BTW, Hoosiers... there are two tutorials for how to make these pillowcases on YouTube.com. Here are the links:
LINK 1 - shows how to cut and sew a "simple" pillowcase.
LINK 2 - shows an easy way to lay out and sew a pillowcase with a decorative piping, and is all finished inside (no fraying).
Shadowhawks.
Do not need pillowcases for this month, but need them sewn for next month. I'll bring a couple to show how to make them and you bring what you have. It's easier to understand when you see them. There are months we need 300, months we've needed 1,000. I'm looking for Christmas fabric right now if any people have stashes they want to bring us to sew with.
